Wish

Every wish has power,
Though dandelions
Enhance things, somehow.
Fuzzy, cotton-topped
Seedlings floated down
The emerald-glass hill,
Bound to the earth
Even as they aimed for the sky.
They carried my wish
For love; my whole heart
Aches for it, a need
Long past desire or mere
Infatuation.  The spring
Dandelions are everywhere;
They carry my wishes.
Won't you blow one away?
I know you will not grant
My wish; at least, wish it luck.
