Learning is a constant at Reflections of Mother, and the children are encouraged to watch educational programs, play with educational toys, have story time, outside play, be creative, and enjoy the day. children have access to several books from Ms.Ferns' library as well as having all needed age appropiate toys and space.. |

Children are also encouraged on any specific learning techiniques from home as in the daycare, in order to keep their lives and developing minds stable. If a child is being potty trained at home, the same techniques will be used in the daycare as is used at home. |

Reflections of Mother uses the "101 Positive Principles for Discipline" as outlined and taught by Dr. Katherine C Kersey at Old Dominion University. There will never be yelling or hitting, and the child will be encouraged to behave instead of being shastised for mis-behaving. If a parent has a specific request in their rules, Reflections of Mother will be sure to adhere to the parents rules. |
