| "MERCY ME" |
| Hello everyone, The context on this poem is taken from Luke 7:36-50 of a sinful women who annoints Christ's feet and is from her perspective. When we encounter Jesus He changes us supernaturally and irrevocably. I believe this goes beyond the salvation experience - that it occurs whenever wecome to Him with everything we have. Also, the meter and line length change in the middle on purpose. For those who care to, the second part can be song as personal love song from Jesus to the theme of "Titanic". Caught in the fold of life's rhythm of rage, seeking footholds in the angst of this age, drifting among my fatherless dreams, dwarfed by the silence of stillborn screams, while the Lord's of Law seek daily to shed my blood so maybe that's all there is. In the square I see Him. He sees me. He knows me. He has always known all my ways. And I know He loves me with pure love, with true love, love that draws from me my soul's praise. I lay down and kiss His feet on the ground as I pour out my heart and my perfume and tears Peace transcends. A new life begins and His touch will protect me and hold me forever near.
