Election

By far Reese Witherspoon's most celebrated role critically, this is the story of a teacher (Matthew Broderick) who is sick of perfect student Tracy Flick (Reese) and her control at school, so he decides to do something about it when the election ballots are cast. A fairly dark movie, Reese shines in a dramatic role that requires all she has, and gets it, and then some. She was nominated for a golden globe for the role and considers it her best performance to date.
