The great demon lord Mephisto had been betrayed by his lesser brethren and killed in the bowels of hell. It was this great betrayal that made him a restless spirit. His brethren used great magic to cast him out of hell expelling him to a land called Ayenee. There he wondered slowly forgetting his true self as time went by. Finally he found a woman who was pregnant with twins using what power he had left he decided his only way to keep himself from forgetting would be to inprison himself within one of these children who had a very strange blood within them, through this he could slowly gain control of the child's body over time and then when he died he would return to hell in all his glory. After entering the body of the child and setting himself up within as the child's soul he came to realize the child's blood could be manipulated to become that of a demon's this would aide him even more in his chances of rebirth. As fate would have it here in this realm when an evil was created a great good was created to counter out this evil and so the twin of Mephisto's host began to change to the opposite of his brother's. This is when the twin ruler began and it was all set into motion by Dagda the god of the Blackthorne's who saw fit to make a ruler of light and dark to balance the clan's rule. During the childbirth of these two twins Rasha and Saito queen Arianna Blackthorne perished this brought great sadness to the clan. Mephito was given the name Rasha Blackthorne it was not long that the others saw he was different and they all saw this as the work of Dagda not knowing Mephisto's own hand in this. Rasha remembered little of his past self, but his personality had been made to slowly shape into one suiting Mephisto.
Lord Scion Blackthorne Rasha and Saito's father new the twins had a great calling that they would bring the Blackthornes into a new age of enlightenment. The clan had always followed the teachings of Dagda and had believed in him to guide them in whatever path he saw fit. Saito, Rasha's twin, excelled in the training of the sochin naha-te kata (to perserve peace) and wankan tomari-te kata (king's crown). Through these disciplines he thought that only he was deserving to rule the clan. After witnessing how the cast system was affecting the commoners he set off to train in more extreme arts of magic. Rasha could sense his brother's desires and began learning how to use his own form of power given to him at birth. Slowly over time he came to master the powerful hellfire attacks. Now a student of the flame it was only time before he started learning more about his true self, as time went on his brother visited on and off and had tried to change the system which was currently in use. When his father passed away Rasha was deeply saddened it was his father that had raised his brother and him. Though he knew he possessed the soul of something greater he was still the son of this man. He had stayed at his father's side till he passed and was told to rule the clan with honor and control that he should aide his brother in becoming a strong ruler along side him. Saito did not arrive in time to hear his father's dying words and it was shortly after his arrival that he and his group of dark monks set about trying to built a new class system in the clan. It was this that brought the two brother's to war with one another and it would so be that this was at the start of the clan wars. During a skirmish that Rash came upon a wounded woman by the name of Relina. He stayed by her sick bed as she slowly healed and he was unable to stop himself from falling in love with her.
After she had healed the two began to exchange histories and many other tales. She had lost her memory of why she was there and what she was doing. Rasha desperately tried to aide her in remembering, but as he did so he began to sense changes within himself. Slowly he came to know that he was once known as Mephisto and as he realized his true name so did Relina. As luck would have it she was an angel trapped in a mortal's form. The two had similar backgrounds having been betrayed by others and force to exist in this bodies. He professed his love to her and asked for her hand in marriage she had the same feelings for him and accepted. They were happy and their love inspired the people the land itself seemed to rejoice at their love as crops grew steadily while the ocean teamed with abundant life. As the wars continued they had children first to grace their life was Vincent the two of them smothered him with love and affection. They always seemed to express their pride in him and expected him to one day bring joy to the lives of the people as he had to theirs. Rasha often took Vincent with him on trips to sign treaties and meet with other clan heads. It was this that led Vincent to long for traveling the land. Rasha often helped his son map out the land of the Blackthorne kingdom to let his son's desire for such grow. It was after the death of their second child that the two seemed to grow a bit distant, but soon Rasha and Relina were given another child which they named Desmond Scion after Rasha's father. Relina seemed to always treat Desmond as her own little angel. She would always be at Desmond's side helping him in his studies and keeping him out of trouble as much as she could. Their family seemed to be complete having each a child to smother with attention and teach, but it was after Rasha defeated Saito in battle that their family grew apart. Feeling guilt for his brother's death at his own hand's Rasha locked himself away in the family catacombs for a month before returning one day and bringing his brother's idle class system into affect. It was his way of keeping a part of his brother alive forever. So this class system came to be known as saitoisim where the rich and poor share in the lands wealth. Returned to his family Rasha and Relina were reunited and the family began to grow together once more.
After seeing a vision in a dream Relina told Rasha they were not done with their family. She had been visited by the god Dagda and told of how she would give birth to twins that would rule over the clan one of light and one of dark, to bring balance to the clan. Rasha had heard of the god Dagda having a hand in shaping the destiny of the clan and this made him wonder if some how he had become a pawn in this grand design rather than choosing this family out of random luck. The thought ate at him for days, but soon he was graced with the news that Relina was again pregnant. It was a surprise to find she was with child not two though four. On the day of the birth both joy and tragedy struck as only a boy and girl of the four survived the other two males had died during birth. It was an omen many thought still they gave the two dead children names Markese and Terese after two of the men that had aided them in restoring order to the land after the clan great brother's war. The other two now twins were named Reese after the third man that aided in rebuilding the clan and Orianna in honor of Rasha's own mother. These two would make up the last of their children and their lives went back to normal as far as normal can be in a land of constant war. It was then after the children had all come to grow to ripe ages that a severe tragedy befell the clan. Relina had gone to do one of her many meditations to aide the clan in their fight with her own powers. It was during this moment of weakness and vulnerability that a being known only as Diago corrupted Relina's mortal frame. He instructed her to kill her own children and then her betrothed, but though her mortal body and mind sought to betray her, the love she held in her heart and soul would not be swayed. After leaving the meditation room she stumbled upon Vincent protecting his sister Orianna from invading Luskans. Relina could hear the command in her head and she called out to Rasha. Hearing her voice and sensing a disturbance in her meditation Rasha and his forces turned to head back to the castle. Relina would not give in to the demands being made of her and went to the cliffs over looking the beach, she jumped and plummeted to the jagged rocks below. As her mortal body died she was reborn in her true form of Gabriella Angelfire, as she ascended towards the sky to rejoin her kind she made a statement to Orianna. She told her to tell her other siblings to always follow their hearts and believe in love and peace. She told Orianna destiny had chosen her to now be the glue that would bind this family together.
Rasha arrived too late, he watched as the servants carried the body of his love to her finally resting place. He knew deep inside that he would never be able to see her again not even in death. After finding out the culprit behind this evil plot he packed his things and decided to follow this destiny that would lead him back to hell. Telling Orianna and Reese that it was their time to rule, he set off in search of Diago hoping to find and kill the creature that had taken his beloved away, the only person that made him forget his true destiny and his own pain had been taking from him and he would make Diago pay his pound of flesh for this deed. Having fought Diago across the land of Ayenee Rasha had gathered allies to aide him in his fight against this evil that sought to destroy his life. Finally coming to the final battle Rasha and his druid and dragon allies set about fighting Diago and his henchmen. Rasha was defeated and as he lay there dying a form moved in the woods. Upon looking closer he saw his son Reese, he had followed him across the land and now he was bearing witness to his own father's death as Rasha had done. He spoke to Reese in his mind telling him to never trust anyone and to only look to himself for the aide he needed to achieve his goals. Reese told Rasha he could help that he could heal him, but Rasha told Reese to stay where he was he was more needed now than Rasha. Diago sensing the young man to be around, opened a portal to hell and tossed Rasha's body into it. Rasha had already begone to leave his mortal coil, and even though he would have been weak in his true form he would have been able to defeat Diago. Diago had known this and it struck Rasha odd how Diago had known things about his family that they kept secret, it meant that someone on the inside was giving orders to Diago. Rasha was angered that his revenge would never come to full bloom, as he became his former self Mephisto he swore he would remember the life he lived as Rasha Blackthorne.
Born to a clan of angels created by the gods to act as their assassins Relina ,then known as Gabriella Angelfire, had been sent on a mission to strike down a man known as Jen Ra. This man's family had been disrupting the natural flow of life with their necromatic magic. It was only when she arrived to destroy this atrocity of life that she realized she had falling into a trap. Having known the gods would send someone to destroy him Jen Ra had prepared and was ready for the messenger of death. He found it odd they would send such a young girl to kill one as powerful as he. This amused him enough he chose to spare Gabriella's life, but imprisoned her in the form of a mortal girl. She could still use some of her powers in this prison of flesh, but she knew there would be no way to returned to her rightful place in the tiers of heaven. Jen Ra used her as a servant having her do his bidding through a spell that gave control of her body to him. She was forced to assassinate many innocent people that only wanted freedom from Jen Ra's cruel rule. One day Jen Ra spoke with her telling her that soon he would be passing onto the world of the dead that he had been manipulating. He bound her to his castle and told her that she would serve his family as she had him after his death it was years before someone came to the castle. Kumash Ra the son of Jen Ra had come seeking to kill his father and take his powers to find that he was too late. He found Gabriella and was delighted that he had at least found something worth the trip. Hating his arch enemies the clan known as the Blackthornes Kumash sent Gabriella to kill them. She saw this as her chance to loosen the grip that Jen Ra's powers had over her and convinced Kumash to remove certain spells from her, just enough to allow her to leave and find someway of never coming back. As she went to do the order given to her all she could think about was how she wished she could be freed from this tortured existence.
Upon arriving on the shores of the Blackthorne's land she prepared her magic and weapons to deliver death to more innocent people. It seemed that the lands were in the middle of a battle of much intensity. While scouting out the castle of her targets she was caught unaware by a strong blast of powerful magic. Her form was thrown against a nearby tree rendering her unconscious. She woke two days later with no real memory as to where she was, she could only remember her name. At her bed side was a man by the name of Rasha he had tended to her while she slept. This man had shown her something she had not known and that was kindness. This was the first step in her redemption feeling that she owed this man something she agreed to stay at his castle till she fully recovered her memory. Over time her friendship with Rasha became affection and then it bloomed into love. Her heart soared as she found herself in his arms one day underneath the great ironwood tree, there he confessed his love for her. They were married and together they had children Vincent and later Desmond. She took a special interest in Desmond and taught him everything she could he became her shadow and wherever she was to be found he would not be far away watching and listening. She loved Vincent as a mother should, but she saw in Desmond something that was in her own soul. She always took great care of him and as she did slowly her mind began to relinquish her former memories. She came to remember her life as an angel and her time being imprisoned by Jen Ra. She was then granted a vision one of two children twins, one that followed the scriptures of the light and the other who followed the tenets of darkness. She was to play a part in a greater destiny one that was for the family of the Blackthornes.
After telling Rasha this she set about preparing for their new childrens arrival, which caused her to spend less and less time with Vincent and Desmond. She missed playing with her two children, but she told them of the vision she had seen and how things needed to be ready. Vincent seemed to understand, but Desmond became very jealous of this lack of attention he was suddenly being shown. She felt bad for young Desmond and swore after the twins arrived she would spend all the time in the world with him. After the children arrived she was given a reason for sadness having given birth to four children of which only two survived she became heart broken and filled that void with spending her time with the two survivors. This caused her to forget the promise she made for Desmond. It was after all the children had grown to maturity that she started using her new found powers to aide her husband in his crusade against the invaders of their lands. During one of her meditations a dark man snuck into the sacred meditation room, he began to invade her mind. She could sense something familar about this person, something that disturbed her, he was apparently an offspring of her still young son Reese, but he had just become a father recently. It ment this force had to be from the future or some other dark reality that her son was a part in. This momentary shock caused her to lose her focus and the entity was allowed into her mind.
He began trying to dominate her form feeling her head with commands to kill her children and the man she loved. It had been after remembering who she was that she swore she would never be someone's slave, she held onto to the love in her heart and soul as her mind and body became corrupt. As she fled the meditation room she saw her daughter and oldest son, the commands grew and demand obediance, she let her love remind her of her true feelings for her children and her love, this allowed her to control her body long enough to run out to the overlooking cliffs, where she called out to her love knowing he would never make it in time to hold her in his arms one last time. She flung her form against the wind and with a loud thud crashed upon the jagged rocks below. Tears of both sadness and joy filled her eyes, she didn't want to live her children or the man she loved. She knew Rasha's soul was destined to go somewhere else and that they would never meet in the afterlife. She was happy to finally be able to be her true form pure and free, she would never hurt her family with her two hands. Calling out to her daughter she gave told her to tell the others siblings to follow their hearts and always have faith in love and peace. Leaving her daughter with the knowledge that she was now to be the angel to watch out over the others. Her form was lifted up into the sky as she left her body, her true angelic form bringing a bright light to the land as she passed on.
