THE BLOUNT COUNTY CONNECTION

Jacob Warren Brooks came to Blount County, Alabama from Abbeville, South Carolina about 1818. He had a son, Henry, and a daughter, Nancy Sophronia; Nancy married William Alldredge.
Brooksville was named for Henry Brooks.
Henry Brooks' son was William B. Brooks, whose son, William Johnson Brooks built the first schoolhouse in Brooksville.
William Johnson Brooks married Florence Underwood and moved to Royal, also in Blount County.
They had 12 children:
Teluly Francis; Clinton Randolph; Eddie Forest;Laurence Austin;
Ernest Troy; Willie Ross; Flossie Lee; Gussie Homer;
Lillace Minerva; Nellie May; Albie Lena; Paul Turner.
Clinton Randolph married Ora Ethyl Baker from Blountsville, and they had eight children:
Ila Kay(Box); Hallagay Estelle(Epperson); Edith Catherine;
Dennis Leldon; Paul Ray; OssieFlorence(Satterfield);
Flossie Talulah(Santana); Clint Denver.
