In these days of modern detachment
love poems are often found cliche':
emotion has no place in poetry-
the romantics all long dead.
Thought and action have become moot points;
life and liberty decay from insincere overuse.
Where can truth be found?
Rosetti found a birthday's bliss in her lover's visits.
Do the people of today know how to love anymore-
with such passion and innocence?
