Windows on the World
Several years ago I followed a trail from a cryptic snippet about a Yule goat to a webcam in Gävle, Sweden. I opened the cam to see a gigantic straw goat, but it was the stunning palette and quality of winter light, in this northern hamlet, which stimulated my imagination.
Add to this, the small slices of everyday life being played out and I was hooked.
Offered here are nostalgic windows to streets you once walked and adventurous ones to those you may never visit. Perhaps you�ll discover a view of a friend�s town, watch a bustling holiday market in Europe, ice skaters in New York or a live view of the sun.
Come on, the halls are decked, the packages are mailed, the parties have faded into the weekend and the wonderfully hectic Yule week is beginning. So, let�s sit back, kick off our shoes and take voyeurism to a global level.
