Cloud Gazing

What do clouds mean to you? Do you look at them in their purist form as defined by their Latin names?

  • Cumulus = heap
  • Stratus = layer
  • Cirrus = curl of hair
  • Nimbus = rain
Do you look at them as a nuisance? Do you simply consider them as dark ominous monstrosities that suddenly appear to ruin your day? Do you cherish the nourishing rain that clouds bring, nourishment to rekindle the life of your flowers and vegetables? Do you simply enjoy the fancy of watching the ever-floating fluff of ever-changing shapes and wonder? We agree with the Cloudman that clouds are miracles.

This series is about cloud gazing (NEPHELOCOCCYGIA (Pronounced ne-fee-low-kuk-e-gee-ah). Nephelococcygia is the science of looking at clouds and seeing shapes. Shapes can be anything animals to letters of the alphabet. So come friends; lie down on the ground, get comfortable and gaze upwards. Don't be put off by other people; they are only ignorant of the greatest free show on Earth.
Besides we offer 10 perfectly good reasons why you should join us in this endeavor.
