| It has been shown, in clinical studies, that marijuana has definite medicinal qualities. It is highly efficacious in treating symptoms of nausea, especially the severe form that is usual among cancer patients receiving chemotherapy treatment. It has been effective against spasms that victims of MS (Multiple Sclerosis) suffer from. Read interviews with Dr. Grinspoon, who has written many books on the subject since 1967, and who exposes the reasons why the medical profession (in particular the AMA) and the pharmaceutical companies do NOT want marijuana made legal. Gee, they'd lose a ton of money...do the math, folks. It's cheaper to buy a few joints worth of weed than a $600 a day expense for a drug with side effects that are almost as bad as the illness. Is this showing compassion for the seriously ill among us? I don't think so. |
