Welcome to the Reed One-Room School House. The Reed School functioned as a one-room school from about 1837 until the early 1970's and since that time has been used chiefly as a meeting place for the annual town meeting for the Town of North Amity, Maine, where the school is located.
After much effort, the school was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 2001. We are still trying to get the school back into its original condition by seeking grant money. Please explore our site and learn more about our school and its history. If you would like to help us get matching funds for the grant we are seeking click the "Help Us Get Funding" link to the left.
