Malcolm wandered the aisles of the shop. A slithering noise behind him made him jump. Turning, he stared into a set of writhing appendages. His mind gibbered at the sight of the alien shopkeeper. "Lord, let those be arms and not--"

Hoshi walked up to them. "Aren't you done yet? Or did you lose the list?"

"I know what's on the list," Malcolm said, his voice indignant. Of course he knew what was on the list...

"Yes?" Hoshi asked.

"Extra long--no, that's not right." Malcolm crossed his arms. "Erm, ribbed...no, that's not it."

Hoshi smiled knowingly. "He needs protection."
