"No, you look perfect. It really suits you. Put it on again."

"I don't want to. They will laugh at me. Saying that I'm old."

"Not after last night. I guess they heard you even in the mess hall. A joke, love. No need to get pale. So, and now put it on again and leave it where it belongs."

And with these words Malcolm took the reading-glasses from the table and put it back on Jon's nose.
