I was 3 years old the first part of 1970, and my parents were towards the end of their marriage. I suffered from nervous fits, and it was only Walt's flute from Chicago's second record that would calm me down. Once I was relaxed, if Walt was still playing on the stereo, I'd make a run for our piano - a Kimball - and attempt to play along with him. Four years later, I started my first piano lessons. Over 35 years later, that old Kimball now sits in my living room. |

| Since then, I've had the honor of performing at the following: The University of Nevada in Reno for the Reno Jazz Festival, the Anaheim Music Olympics in California, the Daytona Beach Music Festival in Florida, various concert band stages from Whittier to San Diego, California with Fresno State University's Wind Ensemble, the William Saroyan Theater with the Freso State University Community Choir and the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra. On President's Day Weekend of 2006, as a soprano with the Fresno Community Chorus, I performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. All I can give Walt is this website on the internet in exchange for this life of music his flute has led me to as a child. As Shakespeare put it, "too little payment for so great a debt." |
