| This is also from Apollo 12. This time it's Pete Conrad in a photo taken by Al Bean. This one is a little more interesting. The thing over Pete's left shoulder in the distance is the lunar lander. The anomaly is in the visor reflection. You can clearly see Al and the horizon line. So... what's that blob hovering above the horizon? Remember, this is the moon -- there aren't supposed to be any aircraft or structures or even any sky there, and it isn't illuminated like a flash of sunlight (or a reflection of sunlight) would be. You can see the hotspot from the sun further over on the helmet anyway. This picture (like all the ones I've posted except the "Moon Shot" mock-up from Alan Shepard's book) is right from NASA's own website, it's not a hoax buff photo. Go back to conspiracies. | |||
