My Fear
A movement in the corner of my eye,
I turn my head only to spy
A sight that makes my heart race
My eyes have caught sight of your face.

Im sure you havent seen me yet,
And I'm sure that I am going to regret
Missing this chance to speak with you
But stare and stutter is all I can do.

As you pass I remain unseen,
I'm invisible, as if behind a screen
This is the cause of my despair,
Your eyes pass by as if Im nothing but air.

So now I'm left with only the thought,
Of the unheard cry for the attention I sought
The face that gives a jumpstart to my heart,
Of the fire in me which only your eyes can start.

That fire, that drive, that need for attention,
Is a paradox for the entire nothing Ive done.
I am driven to many extremes inside,
But my fear, this fire cannot divide.

And so my cries are heard only by me,
And still I remain impossible to see,
And everyday you walk right on by,
But my fear, your eyes cannot divide.
