23 Mar 2004: I Think I have decided to abandon this project. Perhaps I will restore it back to it's astro-fighter glory, maybe I'll make it something else. Maybe someone else can find a use for it. If interested, let me know, I will entertain offers for the cocktail, perhaps in trade for an upright? for now this project is dead....

16 Mar 2004: So I finally decide to do a little work on this, and I totally mess it up. I guess this one's just not gonna work for me now. I broke the neck on the computer monitor I just got. Boy did that Suck! %&#*@%&!!! I'm too pissed to write more now GRRRRRRR.....

03 Mar 2004: OK, so like I haven't done a damn thing with this in over 5 months. So Sue me, I got a lot of other fish to fry right now (trust me). I did finally get a working monitor for this thing, and with some retrofitting, it should work just fine. I got 2 Joysticks and 20 buttons a while ago, but I'm having doubts on the success of this project. Ultimately, I may have to do a little redesign work on it, so for now it sits on the back burner until I get my other projects done. It will get there, just not anytime soon...

06 Nov 2003: Just a quick update on where I'm at on this project. I've got a new power supply on order, and I have been looking for motherboards for some time now without much luck. I found a 15 inch monitor today, but havent tested it yet. I got a coin door that I'm going to sacrifice if I can to make the necessary coin slot for the cab. I still have to figure out what I am going to do for controls. Hopefully I'll be able to get pix up soon on what I'm doing. Got some cool artwork for it, that I'm going to be putting on soon. 08 Dec 2003: Well the Viewsonic monitor I found was a bust and a half. Monitor has hardcore hold issues, and the screen is not working right under higher resolutions. So the search is back on. I'm hoping to have more luck after christmas. People tend to throw away perfectly good stuff after Christmas :) Still have not found a board for this machine, but I'm still working on it. I need an older AMD board with onboard video, I think. It'll make everything easier. I got the coin slot/mech in the cab, and need to figure out the door for the coin box. I'm going to do this one up right, so I'm going to fix the woodgrain sides to the cab, and try to lean up the glass some. This is going to be a long term project, as I want to get the upright one done first. I did find a good deal on sticks/buttons on eBay, so I'm probably gonna get those soon.

01/20/2004:A Couple of pictures on the progress of the cocktail table. Installed also (not pictured) Overlay on the ugly side, makes it look a little nicer. Got the Buttons and Joysticks for this unit, and have a computer en-route for it. Found my cocktail artwork that I'm using for it.
