| 1) A nice soft bed of coir coconut fiber, peat moss, or shredded newspaper (soaked and drained, please) |
| 2) Moist bedding, about the consistency of a wrung-out sponge |
| 3) Bedding with a neutral or very slightly acid pH (6.5 best) |
| 4) Total darkness (about 5 minutes of direct sunlight can kill a worm due to dehydration) |
| 5) Warm temperatures, but not hot (68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit optimal) |
| 6) Food, food, food! |
