What do worms really want?

1)  A nice soft bed of coir coconut fiber, peat moss, or shredded newspaper (soaked and drained, please)
2)  Moist bedding, about the consistency of a wrung-out sponge
3)  Bedding with a neutral or very slightly acid pH (6.5 best)
4)  Total darkness (about 5 minutes of direct sunlight can kill a worm due to dehydration)
5)  Warm temperatures, but not hot (68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit optimal)
6)  Food, food, food!
