From Victoria, BC, Canada, we rode the ferry to Port Angeles, Washington then drove Highway-101 along the eastern coast of Washington state's Olympic peninsula, sightseeing in the pioneer museum and Dungeness Crab Valley and shores of Sequim, eating fresh oysters and clams along the Hood Canal. Explored the elegant chambers in the interior granite structure of the state capitol house in Olympia, Washington. Went to Bremerton and took another ferry to Seattle to have dinner at Seattle's chinatown, checked out the Space Needle before heading home to Portland, Oregon. The next day, visited the Portland's Grotto, or National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother, then drove half an hour eastward to Multnomah Falls, the second highest year-round waterfall in the nation.
