Attention new members of the Redwall of Mossflower Wood Guild! This page will tell you everything you need to know about our guild. So sit tight, there's a lot to tell you!
It might be helpful to explain a little bit about the history of our guild. We started with a different leader, but he became inactive and did not give AbbessJudie all the powers before leaving. We were forced to move to a different guild. There we remained until the abbess was frozen! I'm not sure why she was, but it wasn't anything serious ;) We then moved to the guild that we are at now. So don't be confused when a guild member says "I've been here for over a year and a half!" He or she just moved with us!
Next, we have the the guild greeting, written by our very own beloved Wild Child. The greeting will explain how things work, such as contests, promotions, and donation shops. It was written in her own words. Please do not hold me responsible for any of the insanity that follows!
Welcome to the guild!! Prepare to be greeted!
Where shall we begin? First of all, we have a LOT of contests. The link to the shop contest is on the second home page, and all the information you need is on that page. Not many people usually participate (horrible, i know!) so if you are good with HTML, i'd say you have an excellent chance at winning. Try it out! Then we have "little contests" as i call them. These contests are shorter than our main ones (that means they don't last as long) we have the Mystery Pic Contest, which is updated every other week, i believe. Just see if you can figure out what the pic is! The link, once again, is on the second homepage. Then we have our Game of the Week, or GOTW, which you get to from a link on the 2nd homepage. Our dear smllfi24 runs that. GOTW is where you send in your best score for whatever game is featured that week, whoevers score is highest wins (a special prize if you beat smllfi24's score!). The newest contests are the In A Word competition and the Art Contest. The rules are stated quite plainly on those pages. There is a link to them on the second guild homepage (my! what a popular page!).
And now on to the riddle contests. The link for the riddles page is once again on the 2nd homepage under Miscellanie Page. You solve the riddles for points. Actually, you get points in ALL of the contests. You can get to the Points Page from our main homepage or from the riddles page. There is a really really small part under the riddles that says: See how many points you have so far by clicking here. The "here" is a link that will take you to the points page. If you get so many points, you can win a prize. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to participate in contests.

Nextly! Donations! A list of our official guild shops are on a green banner on the homepage. Lady_sodafight runs our Abbey Kitchens and smllfi24 runs the Guild Infirmary. The Redwall Bookshop is run by books_tam10. And the Official Guild Shop (which is just a shop that doesn't specialize in any particular item) is run by [[currently no one runs it]]. To donate money to the guild, just buy an item from one of these shops. But if you buy an item less than 1001NP, you have to neomail the shop owner to get credit for it! To give an actual thing to the guild, make friends with the appropriate official shop owner and send him/her your item. you will be credited with the item you sent. Just a special reminder, the bookshop funds the shrine, so if you donate a lot to tam, the wish you send to the shrine will be given special consideration. Also, funds made from the infirmary are sent back to the guild shop, which generally fund the prizes for contests. The bookshop also funds various activities and contests in the guild like the Mystery Pic and the Jubilee!!
The Shrine, you say? Well, that is yet another thing we have here in our fair guild. You send in your wish every two weeks to books_tam10. You can wish for absolutely anything you want that is under 100,000 npts. That is- we have to be able to buy it in the shops. The more active you are in the guild, the more likely the wish will be granted. You can wish for a paintbrush, petpet, food, codestone, faerie, absolutely anything ya want. Just remember, only one wish is granted per two weeks, so if your wish isn't granted the first time, just keep trying. Also, if you have just had your wish granted, please refrain from wishing again until another round of wishing has been completed to allow others the chance of having their wish granted. To find out whose latest wish has been granted, you can go to the 2nd homepage and find Shrine Granting Grounds. To make your own wish, you can find a link on the granting grounds that will take you to the actual shrine.
We realize you are probably still confused, because there is just so much to learn at first. A helpful reminder is to check out our guild rules on the homepage on the purple banner. Make sure you read them so you can be sure to start out on the right paw. We don't expect you to jump in on all of the contests right away. You can ease into them by choosing one and working your way from there. Be sure to vote at our poll! Every season we have a new Season Naming Contest, where people submit names and then vote for their favorite on the poll. The winning name is put on our homepage. If you have any questions, post a message on the board and some nice guild member will be delighted to help you out. We look forward to meeting you!
Oh, and, as this issue invariably comes up, our leader, abbessjudie, comes on every weekend or whenever she can. She has a lot of work to do, so don't get upset if she can't come on as often as we would like to update things. She does a lot of work here.

Wild Child
New members should also note that certain people have "animals" on the guild board. Wild Child has what she calls "weasel" (only she is actually talking about guinea pigs). Kat is the Queen of the purple-eyed chipmunks. Also, Sniffles enjoys slapping members with fish. Last but not least, Relient has an army of plunger-armed squirrels. Beware of the madness ;) When someone tosses you a weasel, that is a very good thing. However, it is definitly NOT good when they drop them on your head. Purple-eyed chipmunks can be very mischeivious so watch your vacuum cleaner carefully.

Nicknames!!
Next, we have nicknames. If you post a lot on the message board, it comes in handy to know and use these nicknames. We use them to make typing more convenient. It also because hard to remember the numbers after everyone's usernames.
Penguinsaver (that's me!) is FBR. That stands for flightless bird rescuer, dontcha know!
Pinqepanther, our guild greeter, is more commonly called Wild Child, but if you should venture to use her username, be warned! Do NOT spell it wrong for it may be the last thing you do!
badrag is known as the Evil Dishcloth around here (get it, bad rag heheehee...)
smllfi24 is called sniffles. Ironically, she does NOT have a cold. Well, she may by the time you're reading this. And a while back she DID have a clod ;) (a simple typo for cold)
nyrhak is simply kat because her name is so confusing to spell! Although, she explained that nyrhak is Kathryn spelled backwards, without the "t".
ClarkKentLover is now being referred to as KKL or Alyssa, which ever you prefer...
Many people's names are just a shortened version of their user name. For instance, neoemily206 is called emily and books_tam10 is simply tam. There are others, but i'm sure you can figure them out easily.
Other names are abbreviations. Like elenmenel is called EM and redwall_maniac15 is RM.

For those of you who are new members, to avoid further questions about the POD, this is the following info:
INFO CONCERNING THE POD
1) POD stands for problem of the day but because of my busy schedule, it is every other day. But POD sounds a lot better then PEOD doesn't it?
2) all the POD's are worth a certain amount of points which can add up to 10 points total for a prize under 5000 np.
3) POD points are NOT, I repeat, NOT guild points! They are strictly just for the POD.
4) a single POD problem can be worth a range from 1 to 10 points! Most of the time, they will be only 1's and 2's. Everyone week or so, we have a 3 pointer and eveyrone half a year, I throw in a 5 pointer. 10 pointers are very RANDOM and RARE!
5) donations to the toy shop (np or toys) are your way of supporting the POD prize fund!
6) it does not matter if you answered 5 questions in a row that you can't participate in the next one. You can participate as often as you want!
7) POD questions can be in any topic from math to movies, from animals to books...
8) EVERYONE and ANYONE in the guild is allowed to answer any POD.

Promotions/Ranks Info!!
Promotions are done once a month, at the beginning of the month.
Members who are constantly active are promoted (i.e. posting non-spam messages, following rules, donating to guild shops, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, participating in guild activities like mystery pic, raffle, gotw, shrine, art contest, in a word contest, season naming, etc.).
No one will get promotions two months in a row.
It will become harder to recieve a promotion as you go up in rank.
