| Though her breeding was accidental (at no fault of the sire/dam owner), Lena is considered to be far from a mistake. She has become a much-loved family member. Lena was acquired at the age of 9 months after her first owners were unable to handle her strong drive and personality. She is confident, yet not aggressive. She has demonstrated that she indeed has the instincts and talent to do stock work but has also shown she can be a loving and affectionate family pet. Lena was formerly on staff with Geese B. Gone (now Geese Police of VA/MD), a waterfowl control and removal company in the MD/DC/VA area. Lena used her inherited instincts to humanely move geese and other waterfowl off of corporate properties, golf courses, etc. Though she had an early retirement from this work, she still does stock trials, disc dog sports, and some flyball. At least 90% of Lena's pedigree is stockdogs. Most are registered with ASCA, some with NSDR, some with UKC, and few with AKC. Lena is spayed and, therefore, will not be bred. She currently holds full registration with UKC and ASCA and an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) with AKC. |
