It's some weeks after Clinton War, your hangover is beginning to wear off, and suddenly you realize that the tourney season will soon be ending. You are struck by a case of the "end of tourney season blues." Well, we have the cure! Step right up to the Red Tiger's Gluteus Circus Maximus, the only event hosted entirely by the Clan of the Red Tiger! (Date TBA) At the home of honourary Red Tigers HL Malcolm of Lamont and HL Olwen Pen Aur, the renowned site of Skunk Hollow, let us regale you with song, story and silliness of all sorts! Contests in the true spirit of the Red Tigers will be an important part of the event. Join in our Wacky Weapons Rapier Tourney, or if heavy fighting is more to your fancy, we have that too, in true Red Tiger style! If arts and sciences are more your talent, compete in the open format Red Tiger Arts and Sciences Competition, where the only requirement is that your piece must be inspired by the Clan of the Red Tiger in some way. Judging will be according to skill, suitability of the entry, and wit. Or, in the spirit of our Patron Saint, Monty Python, join in our Spam(tm) Cooking Contest, where the most creative use of Spam will be rewarded! In the evening, let us feed you with a selection of some of Appledore's traditionally favourite dishes, just as we did at Appledore's 20th Anniversary! Feast tickets will be $5.00 per person. Let us also entertain you with our Red Tiger Bardic Competition, which again, must be inspired by the clan, and will be judged by audience appreciation as measured by applause.
Directions to the site: From the south, head to Oliver on Hwy 97 N. Turn right at the first set of lights, just past a strip mall that will be on your right hand side. Head down the road past the fire hall. Turn at your first right, and follow the road that leads up around the air hanger and past a chain link fence, which will be on your right. It will lead around a bend and down into Skunk Hollow.
From the north: Head south from Penticton, through Okanagan Falls, to Oliver. At the end of main street, which follows the length of the highway, you will come to a strip mall which will be just before the second set of lights. At the lights, turn left, and follow the road past the fire hall. Take your first right. Follow the road up past the air hanger and a chain link fence which will be to your right. Continue on around the bend and into Skunk Hollow.
