| "I am from carrots to cows from coloring to The Little Merimaid" It was interesting to write, because we had to reflect back onto details of our past to write this poem. |
| We did this work to study and practice persuasion techiques. One of the few instenses when we used our books. |

| We made made letters, asking former teachers for recomindations, or advice, for example. It was good to practice, because we are going to need to write similar letters in later life. |
| It was fun to think back and try to remeber the papers we had written and the books we had read in the past. |
| In this story we our new deductive reasoning skills to a "real life" situation story. I worked with Kelly Crook on this story, and its based on real life experiences. |
| Intoduction: "Propaganda has many uses in today�s society. It can be used for debating, politics, advertising, and more. There are three types of propaganda that I focused on: snob appeal, glittering generalities, and post hoc reasoning. I looked for ads out of �Girls Life� and �Good Housekeeping� magazines." The study of propagand really taught me alot about the types of "tricks" that advertisers try to pull on you. Or you could use propagnda for persuading your friends. |

| This kind of formal debate was new to me, but I found it alot of fun. I was on the affrimative side for the genetic engineering issue. |
