Throws: Right Bats: Right Born: July 27, 1975 Scouting Report Hitting, Baserunning & Defense Hillenbrand is one of the most impatient hitters around, drawing few walks and rarely even getting to a three-ball count. A defensive hitter who hits the ball where it's pitched, he seldom strikes out, but he often gets himself out by putting a pitcher's pitch in play. He had a rough go of it against southpaws, despite having hit them very well the year before. He did a decent job at the hot corner, showing average range and a sometimes-erratic but strong enough arm. A former catcher, he's an average runner at best.
