***Physical activity has been proven to alleviate symptoms of stress and anxiety, thus reducing blood pressure
***We initiate all exercise programmes with a personal assessment, including a blood pressure check.
***We refer any client with elevated blood pressure to a doctor before prescribing exercise.

CORONARY HEART DISEASE

***CHD by itself is the most common cause of premature death in the UK
CHD comes in two main forms: heart attack and angina.
High cholesterol levels, stress, excess alcohol, smoking and sedentary lifestyles are all risk factors associated with CHD.
***Physical activity of a moderate intensity lowers the risk of CHD
Currently only 31% of men and women in the UK are active enough to give themselves some protection against CHD.
***We design personalised exercise programmes to turn these statistics around.

***The disease effects 10& of men and 33% of women, and is now recognised as a mahor public health problem.
***Weight-bearing activities have been shown to delay the decay of bone.
***We will create your programme to incorporate weight bearing activities, as part of a balanced plan to help protect your bones from decay.
***We work with the Osteoporosis Society to offer bone density screening.
