Well, it has indeed been awhile since our last newsletter. First of all, on behalf of Matt, Grant, Moon and Jim, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and may 2007 bring you all peace and happiness.
THANKFUL YET AGAIN TO BE A CANADIAN - TOUR OF ALERT & GOOSE BAY, LABRADOR
Matt Minglewood is currently on another Canadian Forces Tour, this time of Goose Bay and Alert. He recently wrote a new song, called 'Keep Your Head Down', inspired by his CFO tour of Afghanistan. It is a real rocker. He showcased the song on this year's "Xmas Daddies" show. For those who missed the show, it is available to download at www.mattminglewood.com/AudioClips.html. The song will be included on his next CD.
THE PROMISE
One of Matt's most requested albums - The Promise - has been re-released on CD and is now available for sale at www.mattminglewood.com. For those of you who live in the Cape Breton area, The Promise is for sale at Music World at the Mayflower Mall.

Matt will be at the Savoy Theatre for one night only on Thursday, Dec 28. Special guests include Dave McKeough and Ian Acker. Come hear the songs from the past, the present and the future, enjoy the stories and wash your soul in a great evening out. Minglewood tickets are great as stocking stuffers. Fans on the island seem to come out of the woodwork for a Matt Minglewood show. His performances not only showcase great music but also that wonderful heartfelt 'down to earth bearer of good will and good times' hospitality for which Matt and the Maritimes are justly famous for. yep, Matt will be celebrating a milestone on Jan. 31.....the big 60 & still a rockin'
So far, birthday bashes with full band and special guests are planned for the Sheraton Room - Casino Halifax - Halifax, NS, on Jan 27; Jeff Healey's Roadhouse - Toronto, ON, on Feb. 3; and tentatively in Charlottetown, PEI, on Feb 24.
For those of you in Western Canada, gigs have been confirmed for the Bowness Centre in Calgary, AB, for late October, and more dates to be announced.
