CALLS FOR ENTRY
DECEMBER 15/06 is the deadline for poetry and poetry-related reviews (to 400 words) for Hammered Out #11 (winter/spring 2007).
JANUARY 11/07 is the deadline for submissions to a haiku poetry contest sponsored by the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and endorsed by Haiku Canada. The call for submission asks for one haiku per poet to celebrate cherry blossoms. No entry fee but can only be entered through www.vcbf.ca.
Winner�s poems to be published on a permanent stone Haiku Memorial at Burrard Sky Train Station in downtown Vancouver and on Vancouver bus posters from Mar.-Apr. 2007. Top selected haiku writers will also receive a Haiku computer game from Hot Lava Games. Contest is open world-wide and has a children's section too.
