A short while ago we had to cancel our Saturday night show due to a massive NOTL power failure. Very weird having a Saturday night off. Penner, Dave and I wandered around town aimlessly in the dark. It reminded me, though, how lucky we are to have such a wonderful venue as The Anchorage supporting eclectic live music. (Thanks, Jane!)
This week will be our third-year anniversary of Saturday nights and we're still not sure how long it'll be before they decide to tear the old gal down. So I humbly remind you to come on down these remaining Saturday nights before it's all over and done away with and the Niagara Rhythm
Section is out on the streets again, wandering around in the dark.
Also, please don't forget to reserve now for our New Year's Eve show, featuring an all-star, six piece band. I think there are a few tickets left.
This week we're pleased to welcome back Bruce Longman ("The Signify'n Monkey") and his good buddy, Rob Page. Bruce is well known on the Toronto blues & roots scene and for his work with the late, beloved Eddie Baltimore & Slowpoke. Bruce is a great singer, guitarist and bass player. Rob Page is also a wonderful singer, keyboard and bass player and works with Bruce quite often. I just love the tunes these guys bring.
