JANUARY 11/07 is the deadline for submissions to a haiku poetry contest sponsored by the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival and endorsed by Haiku Canada. The call for submissions asks for one haiku (only) per poet to celebrate cherry blossoms. No entry fee, but can only be entered through www.vcbf.ca. Winner�s poems to be published on a permanent stone Haiku Memorial at the Burrard Sky Train Station downtown Vancouver and on Vancouver bus posters from March-April 2007. Top selected haiku writers will also receive a Haiku computer game from Hot Lava Games. Contest is open world-wide and has a children's section, too.
