CONRAD FUREY

433 Maple Avenue - Hamilton, ON

Conrad Furey is a self-taught artist, with his work bordering on a naif style.  The bulk of his success has been with the memories of his East Coast upbringing.  His portrayals of the everyday life of Canadians marks him as an important national artist.  Who can say that Canada has no identity or culture when you see works such as his growing from that fertile culture?
