Entry #2 for November 8, 2006 - A little share to get to the ball rollin'
"Once upon a time I met a little girl"

Once upon a time I met a little girl
With a smile upon her face and head full of curls

I loved that gap as she mad me laugh
With her ghetto fabulous style

But she didn't fool me, she had a bougie upbringing
and was edjumacated all the while

It didn't take long as she met her a man
Who had style and no class

He thrilled her each day with his deviant ways
And sometimes knocked her on her ass

They got engaged and then he went away
Busted at the state line

Reality hit and her smile It did quit
As she found she was pregnant in time

Now this girl, she did grow
into a woman, we all know
My baby calls her baby Sis

And she set out to raise that child
Despite her womanly wiles
To know family and the Lord, in bliss

But she barely got started
And now we're all broken hearted
As she's left us on earth like this

With her baby behind
And our prayers so divine
We shed tears but know she's better with Him

We're told we should smile
And laugh all the while
Because this is the way she would win

And not give in

To the virus with the stigma of sin
