So how was everyone's spring break?  I'm sure there are those of you out there who took some pretty awesome trips to places which reach temperature's above 80 F more than twice a year. For myself, I decided to stick around Bozeman and try and make more money than I would spend. Worked a ton.  Sounds dismal doesn't it?  Really, I had a blast though.  We had about 10 total days off from school (including weekends) and I spent everyone of them in a pool hall.  Counting it out, I spent nearly 69 hours near a pool table, either playing or watching.  4hrs fri-mon, wed, thurs. 13hrs tues. 7hrs Fri. 13hrs sat. and 9 hrs on sun.  WAIT, before you start calling me a total freak hear me out.  I was slacking a bit on the 4hr days but I had to work.  Tues, I got up early so went to the Eagles to kill time (and shoot) till work, after work I had the last league night of the year, and you can't leave there 'till the bar shuts down, then I went to a friends who just happened to have a pool table.  Then this weekend there was the city league tournament, and even though my team lost out right away, I had to stick around and watch everyone I knew play (there's more than a few at that tournament), and of course shoot pool in between matches.
What I couldn't (or should say can't since I wasn't thinking about it then) figure out is how this fits into our hero stories.  Few (if any) of the players fit into the 21 requirements for a hero, yet since I admire a good many of them, they could be called hero's.  True the last five matches (battles) became increasingly difficult, but since I knew the people playing eachother, there was no 'good guy' vs. 'bad guy', and I didn't want anyone to lose, but rooted on most of the teams equally.  At the end of the tourney, there were two real victors, top two places get a chance to go compete in Vegas come may (I'm tagging along to watch).  So, If one were to make a movie about this, would it still fit into mythology? Or has real life finally found a point of seperation from myth?.
By the way if anyone is curious my pool cue is the same as the cues on my border. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
