Carefully Becoming a Deity

I
Was I
Before I was sin
Then it appeared in me
So slowly
That long last flaw of whole entirety
Skin not of silk
Eyes not of glass
Lips not of rose
You did not see
The beauty sleeping in me
My soul was not a deity
Yet
I was still
On earth
The heavens did not proclaim
My name to you
I
Was not I
When the perfection
Sunk in
