Triangulation

There is no future
Only tomorrow
Breakfast to night
The sun will rise
Minutes pass
Turning days into weeks
So predictable
Until the months blur to years
Memories fade
And generations forget
The shortest distance
If the earth were flat
Omniscient and provincial
Unchanging
The arcs of travel
Elliptical orbit
Sailing the oceans
Escaping gravity
The path is longer
Life is more interesting
Straight lines offer little
There are more points
Along the curve
