| HURRICANE FATHER During these storms, sometimes I die out here. In cloud burst I wait for it all to end, thunder cracks, skies tear, I begin to fear, because your clouds are dark again. Throughout this storm there's not a single ray, you won't let up so we run for cover. In your fury we break and blow away into the arms of a battered mother. Bloodied and bruised, we survive darkened skies and other times we just die, fade to black. Sometimes when the hail comes down, when we cry, the force of your storms knock me to my back and raging reign hits me, I die out here at times, waiting for your storm to break so your son can shine. -Jon Garfield |
