Screaming to Nothing

A sad wind,
Echoed and mourned,
Within the new moon's light.
It moaned through my ears,
And whispered through my hair.
A cold and frigid rain,
Moistened my skin,
Within the troubled and harsh sky.
The cascading beads down my body,
Fell to the puddles on earth.
This night, tomorrow's night,
Yesterday's morning…
Brought me down.
The outside…
Promised me light.
But now I stand alone,
In the cold wind and the sideway rain.
Falling to the ground,
That brought me down.
Soaked and muddy,
I lie down…
And scream at the dark sky,
The sky that never brightened.

As the demons still laugh in my head.
