Smile

She's found me once again,
Must be the thrill of the chase.
Collapsing my heart like a derailed train
Every time I see her face.

I don't mind it much...
Perhaps I think it flattering...
As her kiss turns from a soft touch,
To a heavy lustful battering.

She knows not of kindness or love,
Yet speaks so highly of her own maturity.
As I look to the stars above,
I wish we had their purity.

Punishing me for an unknown crime,
I close my eyes and "make pretend".
But she rips my heart out one more time...
While she smiles like a friend.
