Ok if you want to be so serious, my name is Jim Morgan.

And why the 'Redneck Penguin'?
A few years back I was involved in a now defunct internet community called 'Penguinea.' At the time I was the only Southron in the group. Another member of the group decided to start a journal called 'The Fort Cromwell Journal,' and I decided to write a column for the Journal called the 'Redneck Penguin.' I'll grant that it probably wasn't very popular, but I like the name and the graphic so I have opted to keep it alive.

5' 10" Tall. About 180 lbs. weight. Blue eyes. Brown hair. Dashing good looks. American by birth, Southron by the Grace of God.

Oh yeah. I am a Texan first and a Confederate-American second. Citizen of the United States is about 2,987,958,825 on the list.

So I take it your politics are pretty conservative?
Liberal, conservative, it is all the same to me. I am a Southron nationalist, which means I believe the South has a moral and political right to be free of the oppressive central government in Washington. Some folks might find the Southron attitude quite conservative (like for the most part we are opposed to abortion, immigration, gun control etc etc) but the conservatives think we are raving liberals because we believe in good schooling for our kids, that an employer has a moral responsibility to care for his employees, and that when our neighbour is down the whole community is down.

What kind of things does a Redneck Penguin do?
Right now my life is absorbed by the study of Southron culture and history, but all work and no play makes Johnnie Reb a dull boy so I also like to write, play with my kids, play with my wife, study on religion, read goofy forums on the internet and I still have to work as a cabinetmaker for a living.

You mentioned religion, do you have a particular one?
I was raised a fundamental Baptist, of the variety that feel that the Southern Baptist Convention is a 'liberal' group, so I study that one a little bit still. But really I am interested in them all. It is interesting to see what gives people peace.

What does a Redneck Penguin like to read?
At the current moment I am reading Memoirs of Robert E. Lee by Albert Long. Mr Long served with General Lee during the War for Southron Independence. My top three books, in no particular order, are Southern by the Grace of God by Michael Andrew Grissom, The South was Right by the famous Kennedy Brothers, and The Southern Nation: The New Rise of the Old South by R Gordon Thornton.

My library is quite extensive actually. I like to read. I have Faulkner, Tolkien, Eddings, various political works, historical works, etc. etc. everything is fair game.

What is Witimka County?
Over the years I have heard stories, some true some just BS but I have collected these stories embellished them a little and set them all in a fictional 'Witimka County.' Witimka is my home away from home so to speak.
