TD RULES

A GENERAL GUIDE OF WHAT A TD SHOULD DO 

1: The conduct of all TD's should be an example to all players this can be difficult when a disruptive player is in the lobby and should that be the case the room admin should deal with that player, this applies if you are hosting or not do not get drawn into silly arguments in the lobby.

2: All TD's are responsible for their tourneys and for helping people to join etc it is not the job of room admin to help them join your tourney, also if you have a player that you think is unworthy in some way there are measures you can take.
First as a TD you can wait till end of tourney then tell that player you will ban them from future tourneys of yours, or if more serious you can approach any HTD for guidance and they can if need be box the player so they cant enter any Tourneys for a set period.

3: Please remember although we all want to play as well as host it is unfair to expect one TD to do all the hosting so you can play, you all earn bux for hosting once you have held 5 tourneys so please share it about to give all an equal chance.

4: Please check there is no tourney booked before making one.

5:Make sure no one else has access to your TD account as if you are caught letting another person use it by accident or not, you will be dropped as a TD and the other person along with yourself will be boxed for 30 days.

6: All TD whist being trained should devote their full attention to the training and not be playing in another game, there is much that is easily missed, and if you want to learn it is only fair you give the person training you your full attention, the person that starts your training in a particular type of tournament will be the one that completes your training in all types of tournament, this will ensure consistency in training. Please be patient and try to arrange times suitable to both parties.

7:: As per cases rules (you cannot host and play in a tournament) you should not be hosting a tournament in here and be playing in any other room, this slows down the progress of out tournaments, you may if we are hosting 2 tournaments at the same time host yours and play in the other as you are still in our room to see what is going on.

8: We will not consider a second person from the same household for any staff position this has been tried before and cause to many problems

9: All staff must host a minimum of 5 tourney per calendar month.
Any member of staff regardless of position will be dropped if they do not complete this number of tourneys or greater.
There will be no reminders given that you are running out of time, it is upto you to keep track of what you have done and need to do.
Vacation will be reintroduced to cover times when you will be away, the standard vacation time allowed is 1 calendar month, but for extenuating circumstances this can be increased to 2 calendar months.
To eliminate the excuse I told such and such to put me on vacation there will be one contact who you need to either speak to or email that is Devils_Own, she is the one you contact for vacation if you ask anyone else and you get dropped as a result then it is your own fault contact Jane then you are safe.
Clearly there has been abuse of vacation in the past and to eliminate this if you request vacation then it means just that you are not on the site so cannot host so be warned if your on vacation and found to be elsewhere on gamedesire your vacation will be removed immediatly.

Finally there is a 3 strike rule in force, if you break any of the above rules 3 times even if 3 different rules you will be dropped as TD, so it is up to you to not only be an example to others but to be a fit and proper person to hold these positions. I am sorry if all this seems a bit harsh but it is necessary due to problems encountered in the past, should you feel that you cannot comply with these rules, then you must NOT apply.
You will be allocated a training HTD, this person will train you in all types of tournaments as you become eligible to host them any HTD can train should your training one be unavailable but please be patient as we all have other things to do and after each tournament you will be put back in training until your training HTD can watch you complete a tournament without mistakes and at a reasonable speed. The training HTD will set you to active once happy with your progress.

THERE WILL BE A GENERAL MEETING HELD ONCE A MONTH (LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH) FOR ALL STAFF TO ATTEND IF THEY WISH ALL WILL HAVE SAME VOTING RIGHTS BUT IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND THEN DO NOT COMPLAIN IF SOMETHING IS PASSED THAT YOU HAD A VIEW ON THIS WILL BE AN AGENDA ONLY MEETING SO IF YOU WANT TO DISCUSS SOMETHING MAKE SURE I KNOW ABOUT IT IN GOOD TIME TO ADD IT TO THE AGENDA.

PROMOTIONS

TD's will be considered for promotion to HTD status after 3 months continued service, this will not be an automatic process but decided upon by the admin team, and as HTD you will have no league admin rights but will get level 3 room admin rights to be able to mute, this should not be used if there is a full admin in the room.

Promotion from HTD to HTD/ADMIN will be decided on by the number of spare spaces available and by the team in place at the time.

All HTD will be eligible to train new TD's and if you start training in s/e then you are responsible for complete training in d/e and swiss at the appropriate times this way the TD being trained has one teacher all the way through, for every new applicant approved someone will be assigned as training HTD.

The number of positions available will be 5 LEAGUE ADMINS 7 HTD unlimited TD's.

As HTD you will also be expected to take over another's tournament should the need arise, and conduct yourself as an example to all other TD's and members.
