Performance Animals
Offered on this page are my multi-winning Performance geldings, and a few prospects that I think will go far.  I am no longer able to show these animals as much as I would like because I am now a full time college student at OSU.  As bad as I hate to part with these guys, I would rather see them go to a good home where people will show and enjoy them, than sit out in the pasture.  If you would like additional pictures or information, please feel free to contact me.
Evie
FRH Aces-R-Wild
Gomez x VPL's Cee Bloom

"Evie" is a three year old gelding, bred and owned on our farm.  He is probably the most willing out of these guys, and very seldom refuses an obstacle.  Flashy coloration, nice bone, and solid conformation are just a few extras that go along with him.  Evie is easy to groom, and although his wool is pretty dense, it doesn't catch much debris.  Brush him out the day before the show, and he'll stay pretty clean weeks afterward.  I've always enjoyed showing Evie for his spirited attitude, but he is not a llama for everyone.  He is fairly head shy, but will let you touch him and put hats on if you take your time.  Evie has done parades, wearing elaborate hats and blankets, and doesn't seem to mind at all.  He's not a kicker, but favors his hind legs, and tries to lay down when you pick them up.  Other than that, Evie is a great llama that has brought home several Performance Grands.  Check them out on our "Show Winners" page, or e-mail me for a more detailed list.
FRH Apache Wind Rider
Figaro Figaro x Apache Angel

"Grunter" is a yearling intact male.  This guy was my favorite from last year's baby crop because of his wonderful disposition and willing nature.  He's very laid back and loves to have his belly scratched.  He's been shown several times, and has placed in the top three in both Performance and Halter.  At the 2003 Tulsa State Fair, the judge was amazed at how well he completed the obstacles at such a young age.  Now at a year old, Grunter has turned into a very handsome boy.  His wool is very heavy and dense, with beautiful paint markings.  His sire, Figaro, has his ROM and is an ALSA Halter Champion, and his dam, Angel, has also won several times in the showring, and is a proven producer.  Grunter is easy to groom, does not mind having his feet and head touched, and will wear costumes with pride.  If gelded, this guy will make a wonderful pet and show animal, but left intact, Grunter's bloodlines, correct conformation, and heavy bone will make him a nice herdsire in a few years.
FRH Thunderstruck
Cotton Valley Partly Cloudy x Mizzappi
SOLD!!
We were pretty "thunderstruck" when we first laid eyes on this guy.  Thunder is a yearling intact male with stretch, super fine wool, and, well...flash!  He's placed in every show, coming away with 3rd in a huge class at the 2003 ALSA Central Regionals.  Don't let this picture fool you, this guy is definately an eye catcher.  He is a fourth generation appy on his sire's side, and a second generation appy from his dam.  Recently, Thunderstruck's half brother, FRH The Rainmaker, won Grand Champion at this year's Central Regional Show, and was part of the winning Produce of Dam for Mizzappi at last year's Central Regionals.  This guy definately has herdsire potiental.  Thunder can be a little hyper at times (if not, all the time) so showing him in halter can sometimes be a pain, even if he does do well.  He's also Performance trained, and has done pretty good, but usually places under Grunter when shown together.  Unlike Grunter, Thunder has been trained to "kush," or lie down, on command.  He can be head shy at times, and it can be a pain to pick up his feet, but with a little patience, he'll let you do it.  He's been in a few parades, and public events, but usually without costume.  He'll make someone a nice herdsire, or show gelding.
Jonny Layne
Gomez x Pali' Carbon

I can't say enough good things about this four year old gelding.  Gentle, laid back, and a six-time Grand Champion, Jonny is a wonderful all-around llama.  I haven't shown him in a year, simply because I haven't had time.  His wool is a very unique reddish brown color, with silver streaks in his tail, and it's not a problem to brush at all.  In fact, I've gone to many shows without laying a brush on him; his wool just doesn't catch much debris.  He wears costumes without a problem, tolerates his feet and head being touched, and has been started as a cart llama.  He ground drives beautifully, but just needs some more practice while being hooked up to the cart.  This guy would make the perfect llama for a young show person, or a beginner interested in Performance.  He has also been shown successfully in Halter, and has been used as a Showmanship animal.  Take a good look at this boy before you leave this page.  He's one of my favorites, and needs a good place to go.
Prospect Animals
The animals listed here are young, inexperienced llamas who display potiential for learning to do Performance, but have not been heavily trained or shown before.  These girls will be perfect for someone looking for a young animal to train and work with from the ground up.  They are all halter broke and most are easy to handle and groom.  If you are interested in any of these animals, please feel free to e-mail me for more information, or check them out on the Females for Sale page.
FRH Cloudy's Sunshine
Cotton Valley Partly Cloudy x Lacamas Monique

She's spotted!  But what else should we expect from Cloudy?  She's a light cream color, with tan and silver spots from head to toe, with very big patches of tan and silver on her face.  She's got wool to spare, especially around her face and ears, and it's extremely soft to the touch.  Sunny is a half sister to my Showmanship gelding, Snicklefritz, and has the same calm nature as he does.  Although she is not as smooth on the lead as these other guys, Sunny is learning fast, and over the next few weeks, should be just as good as the others.  Her conformation is solid, with nice bone, and ample space between the back legs (which is a trait of Cloudy's).  If you are looking for a flashy little girl to show, then Sunny may just be what you are looking for.
FRH Skip To My Lou
Beaute's Pride x Holly Llamas Tootle Lou

What a sweetheart this girl is.  And big!  At 6 months old, it's very apparent that Skipper is going to be one tall llama.  But, so is her mom, and all her siblings.  She is a light wooled girl, with medium brown colored wool, black and silver spots on her belly, and a bright white band across her dark forehead.  Her dam, "Toots", is one of our best natured girls, and definately passes on her size and laid-back disposition to her offspring.  Skipper doesn' mind being touched, and tolerates her front feet being picked up.  She would make a wonderful beginner llama for children or adults, whether interested in showing or just as a good quality pet.
