BUFFALO MEDICINE
John had entered the Redhill Valley in the early days of Aug 2003, where he was commisioned by a Cayuga Faithkeeper and a Tuscoroa representative to become a firekeeper in the Redhill Valley. With backing from the Onondaga traditional chief and respectively the Mohawks of Grand River and supported by the traditional elders of the Wyendat. John obligated to take care of the fire.  On Oct.30 2003 and Nov.6 2004 the city of Hamilton had ordered the police to go and remove the Teepee, The longhouse, and The sacred fire from the Redhill Valley. On Nov 6 2003 the sacred fire and the longhouse were removed from the valley. A new camp had risen on a 1000 year old village site, where a second sacred fire was lit on Nov.21 2003 and was kept burninging the valley until Dec 10 2004. Then was taken to the 6 Nations reserve.. John and other firekeepers stayed and took care of these fires in the Redhill Valley for 424 days this is some of the music that was written in the Redhill from November 2003-Dec 2004   Many thanks to all those who helped.
