The Bonding Book

DRAGON ROLEPLAY MEETING #1

Vaile says, "If we come up with some sort of lecture thingy for later, maybe we'll spout off, but I think most of you will cover everything in questions."

Vaile says, "If you would like to get put on the question list, just whisper over to me that you have a question and I'll put you down."

Vaile exclaims, "Don't be shy now!"

Vaile says, "Right then, maybe a tiny lecture to start and get people thinking..."

Michael'a says, "ahhh"

Serinox asks, "This is roleplay only right? no mechanics?"

Jullwup says, "Egads, some of us have to edit logs here..."

Sojourn asks, "Perhaps a lecture to get the topic going might be in order?"

Saryna says, "Same question as Seri."

Vaile says, "Just RP today."

Michael'a says, "Please o please no mechanic talk"

Michael'a says, "whew"

Kento says, "Oops nevermind the question then"

Vaile says, "As I'm sure all of you know, Dragons mature through 4 stages of life...."

Vaile says, "The Draco, Drake, Great and Imperial stages, where through each stage they become more and more like the Dragons of legend and lore."

Vaile says, "Dragons are extremely intelligent, wise, and are well aware that they are both."

Vaile says, "They absolutely love to be flattered, are generally very dignified, and are also generally egotistical."

Michael'a says, "I feel so faint, being complimented so much"

Vaile says, "Dragons are almost exclusively entropic, and even those which shy away from the entropic side stay far closer to it then those of other races, as a chaotic or orderly Dragon is far more towards the middle then say a San Elf."

Vaile says, "Dragons tend to be very aloof, especially as they grow older, choosing more to involve themselves less and less in mortal affairs unless they find a fancy in them."

Vaile says, "That's one that has brought up many comments before, so I'll go ahead and define it now, NO IT DOES NOT MEAN that Dragons do not become involved at all with mortals."

Vaile says, "Dragons tend to rarely meddle in the affairs with others because of their entropic nature, but meddling and bearing witness to, and rarely and never are different things."

Vaile says, "Dragons have perhaps the greatest history of any race in the land, but it is very carefully guarded within the race, what little information is known about them comes from stolen tomes or a slip of tongue."

Vaile says, "While Dragons really don't live in communities per se, they are "led" by a group of the oldest Dragons in the land, known as the Imperial Council, which meets to discuss the standing of Dragons on major events in the world."

Vaile says, "Dragons are an inherently magickal race, and share a special bond due to the unmagick with Secians, which allows them stage with the help of there smaller counterparts."

Vaile says, "Most Dragons see themselves as immortal because of there amazingly long lifespans, but regardless they are not."

Serinox says to Vaile, "Liar"

Slepinfire says, "To the fly, a Human is immortal."

Vaile asks Guntharr'a, "Have anything to add on there?"

Jullwup says to Silvery, "I'd bet if you'd swallow the sun, you'd be truly immortal..."

Guntharr'a says, "Nope, you're doin' good"

Silvery says to Jullwup, "Why you talking to me?"

Jullwup says, "Silbery, Cause the normal recipient of that joke is absent, and I needed a stand-in."

Vaile exclaims, "Alright, we have a good list of questions up now, think we can move into the Q&A section!"

Vaile says, "If you come up with questions at any time, go ahead and just whisper to me to be added."

Vaile says to Kento, "You have the floor, go ahead."

Kento says, "Umm I don't know if this is entirely about mechanics but...feel free to cut me off"

Kento asks, "I know this has come up plenty of times..but about the ability to understand Dragon at a certain age or perhaps after a third stage perhaps?"

Oake says, "Certain age makes sense."

Vaile says, "Been a few years, but I believe Secians learn Dragon when they help a Dragon stage to third stage."

Silvery says, "Ya but when's a Dragon going to stage to 3rd"

Kento says, "Ok..because I think Tula learned it but not...umm Benni"

Kento says, "Not Benni but Pep"

Sojourn says to Silvery, "Have one right here."

Kento says, "I am not to sure."

Guntharr'a says, "*IF* the same Secian helped the Dragon through 2nd."

Silvery says to Sojourn, "He's old very old"

Kento says, "Oooo"

Sojourn says to Silvery, "Careful..."

Kento says, "OK then..that answers it...thanks..for not hitting me everyone"

Vaile says to Jullwup, "Alright, you're up."

Jullwup says, "Okie-dokie."

Jullwup asks, "Query: Is it official that staging is possible without a Secian, and if so does that incur the 'madness' and stuff?"

Jullwup asks, "Or were such instances flukes of a differing policy?"

Jullwup says, "Differing, even...and policy's really not the right word, but you get the point."

Jullwup says, "Uhm, I'm done."

Saryna says, "I think you stumped them."

Guntharr'a says, "That is something I never want to have to do, but the Dragon would be seriously crippled in the staging."

Vrice says, "Or got a long answer"

Guntharr'a says, "Possible, but not advised."

Attkayet asks, "Crippled how?"

Jullwup asks, "Seriously crippled as in, living-impaired?"

Oake says, "Mentally challenged."

Serinox says, "Bump em down to like 1 HP"

Silvery says to Guntharr'a, "You mean stage with one wing"

Guntharr'a says to Attkayet, "Anything I can think of."

Guntharr'a says, "Flying, Con...."

Attkayet says to Guntharr'a, "So basically if someone stages without a Secian, they're going to be not a char they want to play"

Septimus says, "I remember a deaf Dragon, a long time ago."

Silvery asks, "No claws?"

Saryna says, "Speech impediment."

Grayse asks, "Who would want to stage without a Secian?"

Eidos says in Dragon, "Staging alone sounds too cruel..."

Kento says, "That was Dracion"

Silvery says to Grayse, "Not me"

Jullwup says, "That was going to be my follow-up question..."

Jullwup asks, "Is such a mentality possible, or would they have to have taken leave of their penthouse offices?"

Oake asks, "Perhaps a loner Dragon not "into" RP?"

You pick up Morpheus's thoughts echoing through the area, "Why would they want to stage with out a Secian, even if it is just supposed to be a physical thing for the Dragon, it seems like it's as much of an emotional thing, and I would think that the Dragon wouldn't be emotionally ready to stage"

Septimus says, "Or one that cannot find the 'right' Secian."

Vaile says, "Dragons have something of magickal calling towards the bond."

You pick up Morpheus's thoughts echoing through the area, "With out a Secian"

Serinox says, "Or someone that wanted RP a cripple"

Oake says, "Hey a crippled Dragon might add some flair."

Gwann says to Serinox, "That's what Taathians are for"

Vaile says, "It's simply assumed the Dragon will meet a Secian, and they will create a bond between them. If the Dragon didn't have anyone, it's likely a Secian would even be drawn to them."

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "Doing so would be very difficult in the first place, and such a Dragon would likely, in the moments of mental weakness around staging, focus more on his primal needs and find a Secian anyway"

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "Dangit, Must stop using so many comma's and 'so's."

Sojourn asks Jullwup, "I don't recall asking you a question...typo?"

Vaile says, "Heck, I remember a story of a Dragon staging with an Arachnian, stranger things have happened then Dragons not having Bondmates, but I think for everyone's sake it's far better if they do."

Guntharr'a says, "What scares me about the matter... if I stage someone without a Secian, and and I depend on them to RP insanity... then they decide that they don't want to do that anymore... it'll cause problems."

Jullwup asks Sojourn, "They'd have to talk to you alot about it first?"

Silvery asks Vaile, "Could the Dragon spin webs?"

Sojourn asks Guntharr'a, "So you'd only do that if the person has a VERY good reputation for RP?"

Vrice says, "It will cause alot of problems"

Jullwup says, "One of those things with the assassination plot waiting in the wings..."

Oake says to Silvery, "Pervert"

Eidos says to Silvery, "Was staged..not mated"

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "I dislike you out of principle."

Michael'a says, "oo, with all this talk, I can't wait to see one of you go batty"

Attkayet says, "I can understand that. Would almost have to be an ERC, but that's not possible, so..."

Silvery says to Michael'a, "Someone already has gone batty"

You pick up Morpheus's thoughts echoing through the area, "I think it would be a cool thing to do with a draco that lost their chosen and absolutely didn't want to stage with any other Secian"

Sojourn exclaims to Jullwup, "But I'm so lovable!"

Grayse says, "I would never want to stage without a Secian"

Guntharr'a says, "As to staging with a race that isn't a Secian, would make the character almost unplayable."

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "Change your name to 'Fluffybunny' then."

Gwann says to Grayse, "You better hurry and find one then"

Michael'a says, "I will not stage with a Secian unless it is my Pep"

Sojourn says, "I doubt 'flyffybunny the Drake' could really strike fear into the hearts of Flerians..."

Oake says to Michael'a, "You're already insane though"

Vaile asks Jullwup, "Anything else?"

Sojourn says, "Or draco for that matter..."

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "You overestimate us."

Eidos says to Vaile, "But there's so few Secians and so much Dracos"

Michael'a says to Oake, "That is an opinion of those with weak minds"

Gwann says to Vaile, "Aye to few Secians these days"

Vaile says, "Most the Draco's will disappear before they ever stage, it always seems to work out."

Oake says to Michael'a, "Try again"

Sojourn says to Vaile, "That reminds me..."

Michael'a says, "ah, no"

Vaile says to Saryna, "Alright, you have the floor."

Saryna says, "Okay, it kind of has to do with what we were just talking about..."

Saryna asks, "I'm still not sure of the "proper" way to RP changing Bondmates or Chosens...is there a "right" way?"

Silvery asks Guntharr'a, "If you were staging and your chosen wasn't there could you exit the game and come back when your chosen is IG?"

Saryna asks, "It happens to just about everyone, that their first bondmate leaves the game...what happens then?"

Silvery asks Guntharr'a, "Or would you kill that Dragon?"

Vaile says to Silvery, "Saryna has the floor."

Silvery says to Saryna, "Sorry"

Saryna says, "I know also..."

Vaile says, "That has only really happened once before, and the Ophillia situation followed, but yes the bond can be transferred, no we don't like and yes it can cause problems for you."

Saryna says, "That a lot of Dragons say they won't stage unless it's with their original bondmate."

Saryna asks, "So what about most of the drakes in this room right now?"

Saryna says, "Most of our original Bondmates are gone."

Guntharr'a says, "OK... sticky subject... Chosens are one thing, Bond are another."

Saryna says, "Okay, use us Drakes then."

Saryna says, "Like Seri, me, Atty."

Serinox says, "My bond is still around technically"

Saryna says, "Not sure about Slep's...but I think Seri's, mine and Atty's are pretty much gone."

Slepinfire says, "Mine left a week after they started charging."

Attkayet says, "No, Mine is still around"

Guntharr'a says, "The case of Ophillia was a.... well, something I

Guntharr'a says, "If the player of the Bond is gone from the game, then I can work with that."

Michael'a says, "Stop reminding me of that one"

Serinox asks, "What happened to Ophillia?"

Michael'a says, "Death"

Michael'a asks, "May we move on?"

Saryna asks, "But how should we RP it? Should we be on the lookout for new Bondmates/Chosens, or should we just go on with our lives?"

Saryna asks, "Or is it a moot point because it will be a long time before we stage again anyway?"

Michael'a asks Saryna, "Dare to live without and see what becomes of you?"

Saryna says, "Well, the reason I was asking is because a lot of Drakes, like you yourself said before, say that you won't stage unless it's with your original bond."

Saryna says, "But in many cases it's not possible."

Vaile says, "Guntharr'a can correct me on this one, but I would say if there is no other option what so ever, you look for someone to transfer the bond to. Not really any other choice in the matter."

Michael'a says, "If it means death, to me, it is a choice I made when Pep became my chosen, and then bonded"

Saryna asks Michael'a, "So when your time comes again and Pep is not around, you would rather RP your death than stage with another Secian?"

Michael'a says, "aye"

Michael'a says, "Without question"

Vaile says, "I'd prefer any transferring of bonds is a last ditch, no other option, absolutely has to happen type deal though. Anything else is totally unacceptable."

Jullwup says, "Or he could become the first test case in that insanity thing..."

Sojourn says to Michael'a, "That's devotion."

Saryna says, "Hm...I'm not sure most of us would be able to have that kind of commitment to RP, though...I mean, I certainly don't think I could do that."

Michael'a says, "My bonded is half of my life"

Serinox says to Vaile, "Agreed so we don't get any oh ilke this Secian better stuff.."

Michael'a says, "If she passes on, it is only time before the rest dies"

Grayse says to Michael'a, "She is also still around"

Vaile says, "Don't bond to a Secian you don't like, that simple."

Sojourn asks, "What of the case of player discrepancies? Sojie's first chosen broke off the chosen with her old Dragon because the players didn't get along, what if that happens to bonds?"

Saryna says, "Just from an OOC point of view, it seems like such a waste, to lose the last couple of years of effort because your bond can't be around for whatever reasons."

Guntharr'a says, "There will always be the factor of a player leaving, and the Bond can fade, but if the player if still in game and form some reason, and one dumps the other form another after a bond.... then it gets nasty"

Saryna says, "Well, my bond got kicked off of AOL...but that's a different story."

Guntharr'a says, "Err for another"

Vaile says, "Being one's chosen is not being one's bondmate, once you are actually bonded, that is a magickal line that should never be broken, unless in the most drastic situations, like someone leaving for good."

Guntharr'a says to Saryna, "I can work with that... as long as the new Chosen isn't a bond already"

Saryna says, "Of course, an unbonded Secian."

Saryna says, "Not going to steal one from another Dragon."

Slepinfire asks, "And what of Bonded Secians whose Dragons have left?"

Slepinfire asks Guntharr'a, "Same thing apply?"

Attkayet asks Guntharr'a, "So you would not bond two whose Bondmates are both gone?"

Vaile says, "Two way street, same deal would apply."

Guntharr'a says to Slepinfire, "Same deal, as long as the player are gone, and won't return."

Vaile says, "The bond meets in the middle, it's not a Dragon gaining from the Secian, or the Secian gaining from the Dragon, it is the Dragon and the Secian gaining one another."

Saryna says, "Okay, sorry to take up so much time, but basically I just wanted reassurance that it's okay for Drakes to take on new Chosens if their original bonds are definitely, absolutely gone."

Guntharr'a says, "They are"

Saryna says, "Okees."

Vaile says to Palisar, "I had you down for the next question, go ahead."

Palisar asks Vaile, "You mentioned that as we get older, we choose to involve ourselves less with mortals. Do we draw away from Secians as well?"

Kento says, "Never I should hope"

Sojourn says, "General usage, Secians aren't lumped in with 'mortals'."

Vaile says, "Never, though you should become that much closer with your bondmate, Dragons really don't view Secians as mortal."

Kento says, "Yeah we are just as "immortal" as Dragons"

Guntharr'a says, "Your Bond is part of you, it'd like cutting off your head."

Michael'a says, "Or heart"

Guntharr'a says, "Works both ways"

Vaile says, "Much more serious then most seem to take it."

Vaile says to Sojourn, "I have you down next, go ahead."

Sojourn asks, "Well, this is a bit late...but I was wondering both your opinions on general Dragon RP as compared to...a year ago?"

Guntharr'a says, "Something that I changed, and it wasn't liked at first... is that the Secian gains "immortal" status due to the bond."

Sabal asks, "The first bond?"

Michael'a says, "And that'll be a long time"

Vaile says, "Dragon RP has improved alot in the personal aspect, but the RP of Bondmates is much worse then it ever was."

Saryna asks Vaile, "What do you mean?"

Kento asks, "Worse?"

Guntharr'a says, "Normal Secian life span is much much shorter than a Dragon"

Jullwup says, "Muuuuch shorter..."

Vaile says, "Dragons themselves are doing better, but their interaction and RP of the bondmate isn't what it used to be."

Sabal says, "Few Bondmates are still around from what I see"

Guntharr'a says, "To much friction"

Serinox asks, "If Secian lifespan is so much shorter than Dragons how can the same Secian stage a Dragon all the way to Imperial??"

Sojourn says to Serinox, "Their life span increases with each staging."

Jullwup says, "They just said it made them immortal."

Vaile says, "Least what I am seeing is good Dragon RP, good Secian RP, and no match in the middle, all kinds of friction and fighting between the two."

Myrddin says to Serinox, "Scroll back, Guntharr'a answered that."

Saryna asks, "How many bonds are actually around at this time?"

Saryna says, "Other than the newly staged, it's hard to find Bondmates that are both still in game."

Serinox says to Saryna, "That's true"

Guntharr'a says, "Sadly, that is due to the price AOL charges."

Kento says to Guntharr'a, "Tell me about it"

Grayse says, "I can't even find a chosen that can stay in-game"

Vaile asks Sojourn, "That what you were looking for?"

Vrice says to Guntharr'a, "I wouldn't go there we would be here all night"

Vaile exclaims, "Volv, You're up!"

Sojourn says to Vaile, "Exactly what. I want to know where my strengths and weaknesses are, or at least the general populations, so I can build on it."

Vaile says, "And you're missing.."

Vaile says to Sojourn, "No time for personal talks here I'm afraid."

Sojourn says to Vaile, "That came out wrong..."

Sojourn says to Vaile, "I meant, I'd adjust myself based on the average."

Vaile says, "Think we would just like to see more of a relationship between the bond."

Vaile says to Serinox, "You have the floor, go ahead."

Sojourn says, "Chosen isn't a bad place to start, either."

Serinox says, "OK I know we have discussed this before.. but"

Serinox says, "I have heard differing opinions on how Dragons treat or view each other..."

Serinox says, "Some act like they are all one big family"

Serinox says, "Some act as if they are competition"

Serinox says, "Never have understood exactly how that should work"

Vaile says, "It depends alot on the specific Dragon, though I think it's safe to say as most become older and more aloof, the ego's of the different Dragons wouldn't match well together, and they wouldn't associate well."

Sojourn says, "I usually go with idea 'help the younger, and leave the educated to themselves'..."

Michael'a says to Vaile, "You said that well"

Vrice asks, "Wouldn't that also have something to do with the color also on how you should act?"

Kento asks, "Ack could anyone imagine Saryna drifting away from other Dragons?"

Vaile says, "There are always some Dragons who for whatever reason decide to be social, or are just plain odd, but as a whole even two ego's that large aren't going to fit in one lair very often."

Slepinfire says, "I believe that color list has been a bit overused, over the years. It is my understanding it was never official."

Guntharr'a says, "Color doesn't mean as much as AD&D types"

Jullwup says, "Happy does not like color definitions."

Serinox says, "Well what I see most of the time is Drakes hugging each other Drakes hugging Dracos... Dracos hugging Dracos... and so on"

Silvery says, "Plain odd sounds like the old me"

Vaile coughs color sucks.

Grayse asks Guntharr'a, "Ad&d types????"

Michael'a says, "Tisha"

Serinox asks Vaile, "So what you are saying is there is no wrong or right?"

Vaile says, "Each Dragon is of course going to think they are the best, and think because they are the color they are, that color is that much better then everyone else."

Kento exclaims, "Tisha!?"

Kento says, "Wow"

Maestro says to Tygerlili, "Me see now why yu da priestess"

Saryna says, "Ooh."

Michael'a says, "Danke"

Vaile says, "As long as you have something of an ego, and your ego and the other Dragons ego's clash at least a little, you're heading in the right direction."

Vaile says, "Michael'a of course can't talk to anyone at all, because his head is the size of this room."

Saryna says, "There's no need to clash...we all know sapphires are the best, so there's no need to argue."

Michael'a says to Vaile, "No, there is another"

Vaile mumbles unpredictable chaotic blacks.

Silvery says to Vaile, "For once I agree with you"

Jullwup asks Michael'a, "Another room? Or another head?"

Palisar says to Saryna, "It was my understanding that nothing compared to amethyst"

Guntharr'a says, "Only time I really see all the Dragons pulling together as one, is in times that the whole race is in danger"

Saryna says to Palisar, "Rumors, nothing more."

Michael'a says, "As it should be"

Voskreseniye says to Palisar, "Mere purple.."

Serinox asks Vaile, "How about hunting together and such?"

Vaile says, "Each one is going to be out to prove how much better they are the other I imagine, though a Dragon should really just hunt with their Secian or lots of Secians when they can."

Serinox says, "OK I'm done"

Maestro asks Vaile, "Why do da older Dragons harass dere young'uns ..is dat natural?"

Saryna says, "Or little Dragons can use big Dragons as pack mules."

Vaile says, "Depends on the Dragon too."

Vaile says, "Some bug the little Dragons for being weak, others try and help them along, depends on the Dragon."

Vaile says to Silvery, "Go ahead, you have the floor."

Slepinfire says, "Tough love, young en."

Silvery says to Vaile, "Thank you"

Silvery says, "Okay my question is mainly directed to Guntharr'a"

Silvery asks Guntharr'a, "I was wondering why you aren't staging any Drakes to Dragons? and I think Drakes should have tail!"

Jullwup asks Silvery, "What meeting are you at?"

Kento exclaims, "Quick Silvery is Blister in disguise!"

Silvery asks, "I am?"

Jullwup says to Kento, "We all know that's quite impossible."

Vaile says, "Drakes aren't Dragons yet because the person who makes that decision has said wait for a while."

Kento asks, "It is?"

Jullwup says to Kento, "Blister went bye-bye."

Sojourn says, "I always drew Drakes with tails, out of personal preference...its just odd to fly without it..."

Kento says to Jullwup, "I know"

Maestro says, "Ballast"

Maestro says, "Tail ballast"

Silvery says, "And we should have some more colors added"

Kento says, "I must be dreamin" Jullwup says, "Drakes are Anthians with more scales and less head-room."

Maestro says, "Act like rudder"

Myrddin says, "Drakes have bat-like wings, no tails on bats."

Tisha asks, "What goin on here? lots o' folks."

Jullwup exclaims to Myrddin, "Membranous!"

Tisha says, "Mebbe I woke up at a bad time."

Chasdity says to Wyzteria, "Yea asked me if I had food"

Jullwup says, "-Maybe I should have come as Chandra, I am much to much in 'Jullwup-mode'."

Incense asks, "You do mean bat-like wings that are proportional, right? I just got a scary picture in my head."

Sojourn says to Jullwup, "It's OOC, feel free to do what you want."

Jullwup says to Sojourn, "I'm trying."

Tisha asks, "OOC?"

Tisha says, "I dunno what that is."

Tisha says, "I'm gonna go back outside."

Chasdity says to Wyzteria, "I have other things if you want something else"

Vaile says to Grayse, "Alright, you have the floor, go ahead."

Jullwup says, "Hehe, Morrigon's head wings on the shoulder-blades of a Dragon..."

Grayse says, "I was wondering if the time of staging...."

Grayse says, "Is created when the body is created or "rolled"

Wyzteria exclaims to Vrice, "Food!"

Grayse asks, "Or if other factors determine it?"

Guntharr'a says, "At least 1 year from the date of creation"

Jullwup says, "Rolled for general period, modified for RP, elderly flu cases, and possession of bondmate..."

Jullwup says, "Er, chosen."

Sojourn says, "Some go longer. In the case of a few recent Drakes.."

Vrice says to Sojourn, "And some go longer than that"

Jullwup says, "I.E.: Skymath, who is getting neck-strain from looking to the sky and longing for wings..."

Kento says, "Skymath and Attkayet were some nice examples of that"

Serinox says, "Skymath staged"

Sojourn says to Jullwup, "Skymath staged."

Attkayet asks Kento, "What?"

Geryon says, "Dracos who don't play for a year after rollup may need extra time."

Vaile says, "Some, because of RP reasons, need 2-3 years. Some we just can't find at certain times, and all sorts of other reasons."

Jullwup says, "Egads, the burrow must be freezing over..."

Grayse asks, "Is there a specific skill level required?"

Grayse says, "Or is it time in-game"

Septimus asks, "RP reasons?"

Myrddin says to Jullwup, "Well, Bizzaro came back and asked for the address of the Flerian burrow leader."

Sojourn says to Grayse, "If a skill level were required, I could kiss staging goodbye..."

Vaile says, "Skills aren't required, though in game time is."

Guntharr'a says, "In game time helps alot.... skill isn't really a factor"

Grayse says, "I suppose a chosen would help too"

Vaile says, "You want to just RP all day and not get skills, all the better."

Jullwup says to Myrddin, "Oh God.."

Septimus asks, "Approx how much IG time? Gets tough when your juggling more then one character."

Sojourn asks Vaile, "What of us on a limited budget, who try earnestly to RP some times, and gain skills the others, but never find a balance and end up a mess?"

Vaile says, "Enough to be active"

Becks says to Sojourn, "Couldn't resist"

Vaile exclaims to Smaugbane, "Alright, you're up!"

Sojourn says, "Don't pray for me, I'm a lost cause..."

Guntharr'a says, "RP is another major factor, and can out weight game time."

Grayse says to Sojourn, "You'll be Imperial before i find a chosen"

Smaugbane says, "OK just want to know about RP and the things going on lately I.E.: The Taathian sacrifices etc"

Sojourn says to Grayse, "You really need to hear some of my 'when your time will come' preaching."

Wyzteria says to Grayse, "You will find your chosen I just know it"

Vrice says to Grayse, "You'll fine a chosen before I will stand"

Vrice says, "Stage that is"

Grayse says, "Very discouraging when you've lost 2 already"

Jullwup says, "Pefh, everyone will have found a chosen, staged, died, rotted, and had their nutrients sucked up into a tree before Sariph finds a bondmate..."

Jullwup says, "It's funny because it's true."

Htang asks in Dragon, "And Sariph is?"

Geryon says, "The faster you get into chosen-hood, the more likely it is that your chosen will turn out to be someone without staying power."

Maestro says to Htang, "Me not unnerstan Dragon...speak da common"

Htang says to Maestro, "Sorry am doing now.."

Maestro says, "Tanks"

Tygerlili says, "heh"

Sojourn says to Jullwup, "Don't bother trying. It's a lost cause."

Morpheus says, "I've been through 3 Chosens... after the 3rd left I decided to stop playing her as much"

Vaile asks Smaugbane, "Still have a question?"

Jullwup says to Vaile, "It was unrelated, but he asked it."

Smaugbane says, "I already said it...but my question was about the Taathian happenings of late and our RP in that"

Jullwup says to Vaile, "Okay, that one sounded more related."

Sojourn asks Michael'a, "How much do you weigh, oh unearthly black one?"

Vaile says, "Not sure how much Dragons have been involved at all in what has happened as of late."

Smaugbane asks, "My first response is to attack them is that bad draco RP?"

Michael'a says, "More than 1, less than 10,000"

Vaile says, "Not too many Dragons follow Taath, Odarous or Sa."

Smaugbane says to Vaile, "But my chosen was attacked"

Incense says, "Haven't been too involved from what I've been seeing."

Sojourn asks Michael'a, "Enough to crush Morpheus with your weight?"

Septimus says, "At least 2 Secians were killed, I believe."

Morpheus says, "At least 4"

Palisar says to Michael'a, "Sit on him so he can find out"

Attkayet says, "And since its rp'ed as a sacrifice, or what not gets hairy"

Vaile says, "If your chosen is threatened, I would expect you to deal with that, but the second a Dragon is standing for religion, they need to look in the mirror."

Smaugbane asks, "My chosen Calysta was attacked but not killed...2 others were...does that not entreat violence from us?"

Guntharr'a says, "Well, If either of my ERC Dragons would seek revenge for the deaths."

Sojourn says, "I've often wondered about 'if they hurt Secians, we hurt them, but by hurting them, we hurt Secians' debate..."

Vrice says to Smaugbane, "I would say yes if they attacked Wyz here I would"

Septimus says, "My friend was killed."

Jullwup says, "Sariph's favorite thorn in her side..."

Jullwup says, "And exactly why she isn't finding a bondmate this incarnation of all existence..."

Vaile says, "If one person harms or attacks your bond, attacking the entire temple involved makes it religious, which is exactly what a Dragon wouldn't want."

Vaile says, "Dealing with the one person who did it is entirely different."

Smaugbane asks, "So it would good RP to seek the ones who attacked though yes?"

Vaile says, "Would be bad RP to do anything else basically."

Smaugbane says, "Good....I'm done then"

Sojourn asks, "And when a Taathian crowd starts forming over the death of a 'brethren'.....?"

Slepinfire says, "Yet to strike back against those involved in a sacrifice, involves the whole Temple, which is back to the original dilemma."

Morpheus says, "Well, I have seen some Secians all but ask the Taathians to at least wack them, glancing at them and saying smart things to a group of 6-10 Taathians, isn't the best way to go about things"

Vaile says, "You run like a madman."

Smaugbane says, "I have a short list"

Smaugbane says, "I will be busy"

Maestro says to Vaile, "But dem sassy-yons dat were killed were used in a religious sacrifice.."

Serinox says, "No fun to play with the Taathians all they do is start smiting people"

Vaile says, "Secians don't want to cause violence or pain, if they do things that cause them to become sacrificed, they may want to look at their own actions."

Maestro says to Vaile, "That puts the Temple in it"

Incense says to Serinox, "Not true"

Myrddin says, "There are defenses against smite."

Tygerlili asks, "What?"

Serinox says to Incense, "Just call like i see em"

Smaugbane asks Vaile, "'Tis a touchy subject though aye?"

Vaile says, "Being sacrificed causes the bond to become involved, and more death, and more suffering, and so on."

Maestro says to Vaile, "True...but not a perfect realm"

Vaile says, "Very touchy subject, even more so that Taath wouldn't like sacrifice, because it kills the person, and he is the God of pain not death. But I'll save that rant for another day."

Jullwup exclaims, "Go Vaile!"

Sojourn asks, "So a Taathian beating is better RP?"

Incense says to Vaile, "Problem with that is, they always run too quick."

Jullwup says, "It doesn't have to be a beating."

Tygerlili says, "Torture"

Vaile exclaims to Jullwup, "Alright, yer up!"

Vaile says to Incense, "It's a tough line to draw, and crossing it is easy."

Jullwup exclaims, "You have a tremendous ego, satisfaction could be found in belittling them and making threats from the shadows while making your eyes glow!"

Jullwup says, "Er-anyway."

Jullwup says, "My query is..."

Kraggon says, "I think I read that once on a fortune cookie"

Serinox says, "Oh please can we not have the violence = bad RP debate"

Sojourn asks Kraggon, "What restaurant do you eat at???"

Jullwup says to Serinox, "I prefer 'Violence = lack of creativity'."

Sojourn says to Serinox, "I believe it's Death= bad RP..."

Deathadder asks Sojourn, "Eh?"

Jullwup says, "Uhm...moving on..."

Maestro says, "When yu gotta bash ..yu gotta bash"

Jullwup exclaims to Maestro, "Shush! I am formulating too many counter-arguments to think!"

Jullwup says, "My question was-"

Pantherro asks, "So violence=lack of creativity=death=bad RP?"

Jullwup exclaims to Pantherro, "Save that for the boards!"

Jullwup exclaims, "I wanna ask my bloody question!"

Pantherro says, "I have better things for the boards."

Vaile exclaims, "Let the Flerian ask!"

Kento exclaims, "Violence=Guntherr'a eating you for talking to much!"

Jullwup asks, "Is the bond a spiritual, empathic, or mental thing? Or physical or something else?"

Vaile says, "All of the above and more."

Jullwup asks, "And as such, how should your RP of a Dragon change with the bond?"

Vaile says, "It's magickal."

Wyzteria says, "If that's not magickal"

Jullwup asks, "In what way does the bond influence the Dragon's action in regard to... stuff?"

Sojourn says to Wyzteria, "How both fit in the same room is boggling.."

Wyzteria says, "And one not get squeeeeshed"

Jullwup says, "Hrm, I think that pretty much states the whole query."

Vaile says, "Should influence every one of their actions, the bond makes them part of their bondmate."

Jullwup asks, "One of those 'I got off the floor and wiped the blood from my ears, and the world looked all squishier and cute'?"

Sojourn says to Becks, "Except for my bottle of Thugweiser..."

Vaile says, "I'm going to turn this over to Guntharr'a, as I need to head out the door. He has the current list, if you have a further question and need to be added please whisper to him."

Serinox says, "Welp I must go.. thanks for the forum elders.. and happy adventuring all"

Vaile exclaims, "Thanks for coming folks, wish I could stick it out till the end, don't bug Guntharr'a too much!"

Becks exclaims to Sojourn, "My bottle of Thugweiser is mine too!!!"

Vaile exclaims, "Best of luck with your RP!"

Deathadder says, "I have a question"

Wyzteria says, "I was worried he was gunna get squished"

Becks asks Sojourn, "Since when have u owned a bottle of Thugweiser?"

Jullwup asks, "ER, in less Jullwupy terms- Does the Dragons perceptions of its Bondmate change in some way?"

Sojourn exclaims to Becks, "Always had one!"

Becks says to Sojourn, "Me too"

Deathadder asks, "When should Dracos search for a Chosen?"

Jullwup asks, "Should they be played more sensitive to the Secian's needs, more open to them, simply more 'close'?"

Incense asks Sojourn, "Born with a bottle of thug in your mouth?"

Jullwup says to Deathadder, "I'sa not dun yet."

Guntharr'a says, "The bond becomes part of the Dragons soul and heart."

Jullwup asks Deathadder, "Ain't Deathadder the guy from Golden Axe?"

Sojourn says to Incense, "Someplace else actually...I have a good doctor."

Jullwup says to Guntharr'a, "That's a confusing lot of words."

Michael'a says, "No it's not"

Guntharr'a says, "They should be close, but there will always be differences."

Geryon asks, "Could we please tone down the excess babble? Leave the floor to whoever has the floor? Thanks"

Slepinfire says to Jullwup, "It is all-inclusive, yet open for individual and personal relationship between the two. He cannot and probably would not spell it out because it is going to be different for each."

Jullwup asks Slepinfire, "Whooda-whata?"

Jullwup says, "I think this has crossed completely out of my realm of understanding and experience."

Guntharr'a says to Slepinfire, "Nice answer"

Jullwup says, "Or proficiency in English, give or take."

Wyzteria says, "I would think it would be like any other close personal relationship ... very much a development that marks those two"

Grayse says, "i would think that the relationship with your chosen or bond would be the most important thing in your life"

Guntharr'a says, "It's never going to be the same, so it's hard to say "This is the way it'll be"

Guntharr'a says, "Everyone is going to see it different, but it all of the above."

Jullwup says, "...I think I need to consult a poet on this one."

Attkayet says to Ichiban, "I thought you'd be much taller ooc"

Wyzteria says to Attkayet, "That was funny"

Guntharr'a asks, "Kento?"

Kento says, "OK I have two questions"

Kento says, "1. I know earlier you spoke of how a bond with a Secian will greatly expand their life."

Kento asks, "But seeing as in how in actuality a Secian has a short life as you say..would you cause a Secian to go into the final death if say he/she was a noble for a while without a bond?"

Attkayet says to Kento, "Good question."

Grayse says, "I hope not..."

Morpheus says, "He wants us to die"

Sojourn says, "Don't think anyone has died of being noble yet..."

Jullwup says, "With the exception of the French."

Incense says, "Interesting twist it would be."

Michael'a says, "I know a bug that died of old age"

Guntharr'a says, "No I wouldn't, but a Dragon ages over 100 years as they stage."

Kento says to Sojourn, "Not of just being noble..but dying at a "noble status" without a bond"

Slepinfire asks, "I believe that would be, shall we say, bad for business?"

Kento says, "Good point..ok one more question"

Guntharr'a says, "Death by old age is very very rare."

Kento says, "And after this question that's it I will be a good little..err Kento.."

Kento says, "OK seeing as its very dangerous to stage while a bond might still be active but "asleep" What is your opinion if say a Secian or Dragon was gone for a long time say maybe several months or maybe a year..and sheesh people eat something"

Kento says, "Hold that question there is more to it"

Kento says, "But say you are still in contact with the Dragon/Secian by other means."

Kento says, "But say the Dragon/Secian found a chosen because they thought that the Dragon/Secian would never come back"

Sojourn asks, "E.g. Financial problems?"

Kento says, "And they develop a relationship, and one day the bond finally comes back"

Kento says, "Many reasons it could be"

Kento asks, "What is your opinion of that?"

Kento asks, "Do you think that would interfere with the relation if the bond came back?"

Slepinfire says to Kento, "Starlyn and Rollie, ie."

Kento asks, "And perhaps go into some conflict?"

Sojourn asks Guntharr'a, "Along those lines, couldn't we e-scroll you and ask for a deliberate delayed staging?"

Kento says to Slepinfire, "I was thinking along that"

Guntharr'a says to Kento, "That is a problem, and the reason I said that I would have to have an insurance that the character was gone for good."

Attkayet asks Guntharr'a, "Unless, lets say Rollie gets his account back, asks for a reimb, then what?"

Guntharr'a says, "That is a hard call"

Siara says, "I think it's best to say we'd have to handle those kinds of things on a case by case basis."

Kento says, "Oh I have one more question..sorry just popped up."

Guntharr'a says, "There is no good answer"

Kento says, "OK, I promise last one it's more about Kento and Platinum and perhaps other bonds"

Kento asks, "I know many bonds have fears that while they are away, their Dragon might stage..like say if I was gone for about two months or so..is there a way someone could know or be hinted as to when a Dragon stages that is already bonded?"

Kento says, "Hope I phrased that right.."

Syran asks Absinthe, "Been a while since you came here?"

Myrddin says to Kento, "It might need a bit of clearing up, but it would seem that if a draco is a Drake, they've bonded once already for sure."

Myrddin says, "So that would be the first hint."

Kento says, "Ok..well maybe I should put my name in it."

Michael'a says, "Assuming anyone else stages to third"

Myrddin asks, "Or is that not what your question meant to ask?"

Kento says, "Partially but Mike'a was on the right track"

Kento says, "It was more along the line of third stagers"

Geryon says, "Presumably, the Dragon could always report and say "Hold on until Secian XYZ shows up"." Slepinfire says to Kento, "It has always seemed the Elders have made sure the two were present, especially after Ophie."

Wyzteria exclaims, "Hey that was almost me!"

Siara says, "I believe there have been warnings in the past."

Lilyth says in Secian, "No thank you though"

Wyzteria says, "WYZ"

Siara says, "Signs that things are not going right."

Kento exclaims, "Thanks..that cleared it up quite a bit..thanks!"

Myrddin says, "There will be more thirds eventually. That dreaded word 'soon' comes to mind."

Lilyth says, "No thank you kindly"

Guntharr'a says, "I always give a hint at first"

Kento says, "No more questions from me."

Attkayet says to Guntharr'a, "Not much of one, as I remember."

Guntharr'a asks Morpheus, "Next?"

Morpheus says, "Oo"

Morpheus asks, "When the Dragons stage they leap forward by years, which suddenly makes them "older" then even the people they grew up with. How is this supposed to be played by the Dragons, bonds, other Secians, other characters?"

Jullwup says, "Age is an arbitrary number, I'm told."

Lemmy says to Michael'a, "You young pup"

Guntharr'a says, "It is more or less ignored"

Syran says, "I don't think anyone ever really cleared that up."

Incense says, "Like becoming noble and aging 20 years."

Morpheus says, "That's not what you whispered"

Myrddin says, "I once heard a rather good explanation of it."

Jullwup says, "It's one of those 'It's not really broke...let's ignore it till the rest is not' things."

Syran says to Myrddin, "What I heard that seems to be best is that the staging ages them."

Geryon asks, "They don't really age, they just FEEL older?"

Jullwup asks, "Oh, yes, is there method behind the mechanics?"

Sojourn asks, "So staging drastically cuts the life span of a Dragon?"

Guntharr'a says to Geryon, "True"

Myrddin says, "The severe trauma a Dragon goes through when staging prematurely 'ages' them, like a severe shock has been known to turn a human's hair grey. Or give them a heart attack."

Vrice says to Attkayet, "Grumpy too"

Michael'a says, "Seems like everyone I grew up is all long gone"

Michael'a says, "Not all, heh"

Incense asks, "It's like jumping forward 100+ years in a matter of a few seconds.. a time/space fluctuation which causes great agony and requires the use of a bonding Secian?"

Syran says to Incense, "Yes, Mr. Spock."

Jullwup asks Incense, "Time/space fluctuation?"

Sojourn asks Vrice, "So basically, staging cause us to die prematurely?"

Incense says to Jullwup, "Imagine getting ripped apart and stretched and stuff. Would hurt."

Kento says, "Greetings o Sage Dragon"

Michael'a says to Depravato, "How good to see you brother"

Kento exclaims, "It's been long!"

Jullwup asks Incense, "I repeat- Time/space fluctuation? :P"

Syran says to Sojourn, "Yes and no, I think. It's a speeding up of a normally very slow process."

Jullwup asks, "What's the official line?"

Syran says to Sojourn, "For all we know it's a slowed version of what happened in a normal Dragon egg."

Depravato asks, "So.........all here to gossip behind my back eh?........."

Incense says to Jullwup, "Well.. Considering I have no "real" concept of physics as we know it, I figured it sounded pretty good in a fantasy setting."

Sojourn says to Depravato, "Of course."

Vrice says to Depravato, "Aye"

Attkayet says to Depravato, "Yes we're talking about you"

Morpheus says to Depravato, "No we stopped that when we saw you come in game"

Vrice says to Depravato, "And now we can't"

Aliyah says to Incense, "It did"

Lemmy says to Jullwup, "Magick involving time if you prefer"

Incense asks, "Dern that unmagick?"

Septimus says, "Might be a sort of speeding up of time around the Dragon only, that also extends the life of the chosen Secian."

Guntharr'a says, "Much as I hate to, I have to go.... Feel free to email me with questions.... I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible."

Sojourn says to Syran, "The more I think, the more I like the egg idea..."

Attkayet says to Guntharr'a, "Thank you"

Jullwup exclaims, "Egads, don't leave us quoting speculation!"

Incense says, "Oh gods"

Siara says, "I don't think there is an official answer to that."

Incense says, "I meant to say.. it's a giant growth spurt."

Zerwyn says to Jullwup, "That's half the fun....speculation."

Kraggon says, "Roleplaying seminars prematurely age Elders"

Maestro asks Guntharr'a, "One quick question..what happens to da big ones...?"

Syran says to Kraggon, "Or dealing with us does."

Maestro says, "Like dat one"

Jullwup says to Zerwyn, "Not when it's questionable if it is a fluke now."

Maestro says, "Dem not around here"

Michael'a asks Maestro, "Can't ask me?"

Morpheus says, "Dem broke"

Jullwup says to Zerwyn, "Some of the mechanics is legacy stuff."

Michael'a says, "I'm hurt"

Incense exclaims, "I want to debate the idea that it'll take more than one little Secian to stage a 30+ foot Dragon!"

Zerwyn says to Jullwup, "Makes it no less fun to speculate."

Depravato says, "Amber."

Siara says to Incense, "That's part of what makes a tiny Secian so special."

Maestro asks Michael'a, "How come da ones like yu no be here?"

Jullwup says to Zerwyn, "It does when you're an obsessive perfectionist and this stuff gets to you."

Kento asks, "We are special hear that?"

Maestro asks Michael'a, "Where yu go?"

Michael'a says to Maestro, "There was a war, and all the able Dragons went to fight"

Jullwup says to Zerwyn, "I am going to die of RP-related stress, I tell you."

Syran says to Kento, "I knew it from the start."

Vrice says to Kento, "No doubt"

Morpheus says to Michael'a, "We will pay you to eat it"

Incense says, "If I were that little I'd die of a heart attack trying to get all the pains."

Michael'a asks, "Eat what?"

Incense says, "Heck, I'd die at any size."

Morpheus says, "Dem dat can't speak"

Maestro asks Michael'a, "Yu da only one left?"

Michael'a says, "ahh"

Jullwup says, "Ooo..I hate editing logs."

Jullwup says, "Hopefully someone else will finish one first."

Michael'a says to Maestro, "Only one that lives here"

Vrice says to Jullwup, "You will have a good one here"

Morpheus says to Jullwup, "At least you didn't do it as Sariph"

Reason says, "So far."

Jullwup says to Morpheus, "I didn't want to edit out the link..."

Guntharr'a says, "OK, I'm outta here...."

Jullwup says to Morpheus, "That thing is a killer."

Michael'a says, "Unlike that ...Rakin'a yellow Dragon"

Sojourn says, "Good night all."

Kento says, "He was here the other night"

Michael'a says, "I know"

Incense says, "Well.."

Michael'a says, "So was I"

Morpheus says, "Thanks for the meeting"

Aliyah asks, "Ain't he Platinum?"

Syran asks Absinthe, "See? I come in and the Elders all run away."

Michael'a says to Aliyah, "Yellow on the backside"

Vrice says to Michael'a, "Kinda not hard to miss someone your size"

Aliyah exclaims to Syran, "Boy!"

Depravato says, "What did I miss prey tell me.........."

Aliyah exclaims, "Whew!!"

Chasdity says, "Yikes"

Syran says to Aliyah, "So bleh."

Aliyah says to Syran, "Teasin yas"

Jullwup says, "Remember - anyone interested in the Sage's Guild..."

Attkayet asks Depravato, "So what?"

Jullwup exclaims, "-Don't apply! I'm going insane with the current load!"

Syran says to Absinthe, "I think we missed the first 99% of it."

Michael'a says to Crow, "Missed out on it all"

Zerwyn says to Syran, "99.5% to be exact."

Syran asks Zerwyn, "Are you sure that's not just 99.49% rounded up?"

Crow says, "aw"

Absinthe says to Zerwyn, "Just my luck"

Crow asks, "Did they straighten all of you Dragons out?"

Zerwyn says to Syran, "Well, you have to account that time can only be measured in 10ths of percentage points.."

Kento says to Myrddin, "Thanks for helping out with clearing up my question"

Kento says, "I am not exactly a public speaker"

Absinthe says to Crow, "oh yes... much straighter"

Reason says to Kento, "You did fine."
