This guide reflects the Three Fires territory. (Ojibwe, Odawa, Potowatomie)
Most powwows will allow pictures most of the time.
Usually, there will be no pictures/ recording devices, etc. allowed during the grand Entry.
No pictures/ recordings of the veterans dance, flag song, or invocation.
If you wish to photograph an individual, ask their permission first.
Do not directly approach the drum or the drum arbor.
If you wish to speak to the drum group as a whole, you must first speak to the lead singer at the drum, and give him a gift of tobacco.
