| Yep... we're all different shapes, sizes and colors, but we have one common theme. We love the Lord and we love to have fun! Interestingly, purple is the color of royality as indicated in numerous biblical passages and after all, if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we are of royal lineage! |
| This will not be a chapter for just one church - but for all the like-minded churches in our valley. If you are a Christian and you want to have "fun" and pray with other like-minded women, let me hear from you. You can link to the email address below or leave your thoughts in the guestbook, where there is also an area for prayer requests. As an added note, in our group, we will all be Queens - after all, if we are indeed Christians, then we truly have a royal heritage! The Founding Queen Mother Sue Ellen Cooper states in her book, The Red Hat Society, Fun and Friendship After Fifty that �the RHS is composed of women of all faiths� and I do not presume to dictate any specific standard for anyone, but I have chosen mine. I am a Christian and have come to base my life on a relationship with Jesus Christ. This lays the foundation for everything I do, and gives my life meaning�� (pages 145-146). To which I add, "Ditto!" |

| So - where are you in your spiritual journey? Not quite where you had hoped to be? Or perhaps you have exceeded your expectations. No matter what point you are at couldn't you use some fellowship with other like minded women? A time to laugh... share a cup of tea... perhaps pray? Now Girl Friends... that's what I'm talking about!
We each have different season's in our lives but each one of us may have some wisdom and wit to help the other through a struggle. Maybe we don't even have to utter a word, simply pour a cup of tea and listen. |
