Professional Wrestling!
I've been a fan of Pro Wrestling since it was on TV here in the late 80's with the WWF. I was a huge fan of the Bushwackers (I dontthink there was a Kiwi who wasnt a fan of them) Honkey Tonk Man, Strike Force, Young Stallions and Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. Early 90's saw a NZ fed on TV which was great, as it gave me more wrestling to watch. Unfortunatly in the early 90's wrestling on free to air TV was taken off due to the violence. There were one or 2 feds on Pay TV but for years NZ'ers didnt get Wrestling on TV. Sky TV had WCW Worldwide and it was great watching the likes of Glacier, High Voltage and Dean Malenko. In 1997 Free to air TV in NZ got 2 lots of Wrestling. We got WCW Worldwide (Which changed to Nitro) and we also got WWF's Superstars (Which changed to Raw)  I reconised a few stars on each show like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Macho Man and Hulk Hogan but most of the others like Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Chris Benoit were unknown to me. But i watched each show with great interest and once again wrestling was the #1 thing on TV for me (Apart from the X-Files)
Wrestling has it's knockers, it has it's up's and it's downs but pro wrestling will always be something i love to watch, to talk about, to look foward to. From WWE to TNA to Videos and DVD's of ECW and WCW to NZ federations, i'm happy to be surrounded by pro wrestling and the charecters that gives me excitment each week.
