» Personality «
Naomi is in general a polite woman with a nature that is usually calm and pleasant. She is notably intelligent with excellent deductive skills and sharp observation to match with it. She is very cautious and suspicious, although not quite in such an extreme to the level of paranoia, but she is for the most part very aware of her surroundings. She is an independent person that is on the reserved side, although not due to any social awkwardness. She simply prefers to work alone, since she believes that she does best while thinking by herself which is indeed true. She does, however, see value in relating her thoughts to others to enforce the validity of them.
She takes a little while to warm up to strangers, but if someone is deemed as trustworthy she will speak openly with the person. She is most open about her opinions or thoughts if she is asked for them and is not the type of person to automatically go into depth about her perceptions as soon as they occur.
An interesting aspect of her is that she is passive and is in no way domineering, yet remains determined in her goals and is usually confident about her ability to analyze. She does not enjoy conflict and much rather prefers to see resolution, so she will yield to someone in favor of cooperation. She opts to please people that she knows well although she will also cooperate with people that she is not very familiar with. The difference is that she will silently resent the latter.

» History «
She is a former FBI agent that rose to high status rather quickly due to her investigative skills. Oddly enough, part of this is also from her work on the Los Angeles BB murder case in which she worked under L during her suspension from the FBI. She became engaged to another agent, Raye Penber, and decided to officially resign. When he was assigned to Japan to work on the Kira case she accompanied him with the intent of also introducing him to her parents before they got married and settled down in America. After her fianc� died she decided to avenge his death by involving herself in the Kira. She intended to present her information and theories concerning the Kira case to the Task Force, but unfortunately met with Kira before seeing any actual officials from the NPA which resulted in her death.
