| At the XROC national day in '98 I was denied a third successive victory by Andrew Hammonds & his incredible white E registration XR2.The car was original & had only done 40K miles.I did come second though so it wasn't too disappointing |
| This was Ford Fair '98,where luckily I didn't meet the same fate as at the national day.I gained my third successive 1st place in the modified mk2 Fiesta class. |

| In 1999 the Fiesta Club GB held it own show called "Fiesta In The Park" at the amusement park in Kettering,Northants. Other Ford clubs also attended,making the show such a success it has become a major park of the show season in the UK |
| The XROC had a change for their national day in 1999.Moving away from Silverstone & "Trax" they returned to Coalville,Leics where the 1993 event was held.The white XR2 of Andrew Hammonds was competing once again with the inevitable result that I came in second again.Roll on 2000 |

| Bex didn't compete at FordFair '99 as I decided to look around for once instead of cleaning tyre treads with a toothbrush! In November '99 I was invited to attend the International Classis Car show with the FCGB,a two day indoor show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.A superb show. |
