Safety Of Abiding In The Presence
Of God My dear brethren: Are you feeling unhappy
lately? Has satan stolen the joy of your salvation? He's definitely stolen it from me
since the accidental death of my partner a few months ago.
All the joy of my salvation, the return of my lovely family to me, my physical health, all
snatched away from me, right out from under my nose in the twinkling of an eye!
But that is, until today. I'm taking it back by force, the same way that piece of trash
took it from me! I AM a Child of God; an undisputed heir to my Father's riches and His
kingdom. It's His promise to me as it is to each and everyone of you. And my God does not
lie: His word NEVER returns void.
In Psalms 91, David, a man after God's own heart writes about the safety of abiding in His
presence. Verse 1 states: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall
abide under the shadow of the Almighty!" And I, like David writes in verse 2 now
proclaim: "I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I
will trust!'"
Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus and claim back from this moment on, the Joy of
my salvation. When I had not a chance of eternal life, You extended Your Amazing Grace to
me; snatching me from the dark claws of death, both physical, but more importantly the
spiritual one.
You wrote my name in Your book of life long before I was a thought in my parents' minds. I
owe You every breath I take; every sunrise, every sunset. You've given me a new life since
my collapse in Jan. of '99 and I refuse to let that snake take it back. That chain I had
around my neck with the word "slave" written on the collar? Jesus SNAPPED it
into pieces 2000 years ago and freed me. HALLELUJAH! satan; get thee behind me! Feel free
to continue to remind me of my past: and I will continually remind you of your future: you
know, Hades? the lake of fire? Remember that's where you're headed! Only thing is......I
REFUSE TO ACCOMPANY you THERE!
Thank You, Father, for sending me Your angels to minister to me in my time of need. Thank
You, Jesus, for keeping the promise You made to me in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never
leave you, nor forsake you!" I claim the victory today in Jesus' precious name, amen!
