I was raised Catholic by my mom (my dad is Christian Science) and I
received both Eucharist and Communion as a Catholic. I had a grandmother who was very
devoted in her faith (my dad's mother) and I would remember the love she showed to me. She
passed away when I was 10 and a few years later I told myself I wanted to live a life like
hers. So I began searching.
When I was 15, I disliked the Catholic church and began looking into other churchs. I
actually joined a Bible study for some time.
In November of '97, I commited
Christ into my life and a month later I had a dream. The dream was that I didn't believe
in something of the Virgin Mary and my mom told me it is true. I got angry and went
upstairs and I saw a lot of light and a voice said, "Come, Follow Me.", just
like what Jesus told to Matthew.
However, in the summer of '99, I went through a "spirtiual awakening" and
relized that Christ needs to be first in my life, not anything else. So I did that, went
back to the Catholic church because I went to a Mass and just felt like that is where God
needs me to be. Besides that I lost a lot of friends and the Youth Group that I am
invovled in is just awesome!
So, here I am in the middle of the Confirmation process and I had a dream in September on
my saints day, September 29. (For St. Michael the Archangel.) The dream was I was
playing with sheep in a pasture and a Shepard came by me and told me that I am the
harvestor of the field, bring some people to me. And the Shepard (who was Jesus, the Good
Shepard) went up in to the sky with lots of light and I was awed with the beauty.
So that is my testimony, I had people tell me that ministry should be a thing I should go
for (as asking me if I am called to be a priest) and I believe it is, it is a gift God has
blessed me with and called for.
In His Love,
Michael John
