A. Objectives
The objectives of Post Number 1890 are:

C. Membership
Membership shall be open to all young adults of high school age who live in the surrounding area and are in senior high School or are at least 14 years of age. No prospective member Shall be disqualified because of race, color, creed, or sex. All members must be registered as Venturers and agree to the post oath and bylaws.
D. Officers
- The elected officers shall be two co-presidents, seceretary, treasurer and a chief and princess of each clan. The presidents, with the approval of the Advisor, shall appoint activity chairmen and make other assignments as needed. The duties of the officers shall be as prescribed in the Advisor Handbook.
- Terms to be 2 years, January 1 even year through December 31 odd year.
- No member shall serve more than one term in the same office.
- The co-presidents shall appoint a nominating committee, which shall consist of three members. The committee shall interview and present a complete slate of candidates who have agreed, if elected, to serve to the best of their abilities.
- On the night of the election, nominations may be presented from the floor by any member. If the nomination is seconded and the candidate agrees to serve, he or she must be included on the ballot.
- All contested ballots shall be secret.
E. Officers' Responsibilities
- Post Co-Chiefs
- Work together as the youth leaders in the Post.
- Develop a safe environment for the demonstration of Native Culture.
- Know that the sucess of the post rests souly on them.
- Set guidelines to be approved and followed by all members according to "Robert's Rules of Order."
- Post Seceratary
- Take minutes at all meetings and present them to members at the next meeting.
- Retain copies of all informative papers handed out to each member to put into historical archives.
- Construct a monthly newsletter including:
- The month's events.
- Past post news that was not yet published.
- Anything else he/she see's necessary to present to members.
- Post Treasurer
- Keep detailed records of both the Post's Income and it's Expences.
- Clan chiefs and princesses
- Be a direct link between the Post Co-Chiefs and their clan members.
- Organize clan meetings where all Post information will be discussed.
F. Post Business
Post business will be conducted under the principles outlined in "Robert's Rules of Order." Voting on all issues will be by simple majority, with the exception of changes or amendments to the bylaws, which will require a two-thirds vote of the total membership. A quorum shall consist of one more than the majority of members for votes on routine business.
G. General Meetings
General meetings will be held during twice a month. The days will be decided by the membership at six month intervals.
H. Officers' Meetings
Officers' Meetings will be held at least once a month, prior to and at a different time and place than the first post meeting of that month.
I. Newsletter
The post will publish a newsletter every other month, which shall include all meeting dates and other information of interest to the membership. The newsletter will serve as the historical record of the post.
J. Dues
Dues are deferred in lieu of fund raising for a fund.
K. Money-earning projects
Moneys raised go to the good of the Post, not just those that participate. All money-earning projects must be approved by the Advisor and meet BSA requirements.
